XTRA SMALL SHELLS
SHELLS

Looking for sea shells on shifting sands we stood A little seagull sours in the sky Looking for sea shells Different shapes with tiny sizes The tinest of ones held in my hand no where else to be found in the land Golden reflections in rock pools walking hand in hand Full of treasures found in sand and only thoughts of joy as I left dreaming with the tinest of treasures found in the land of Niihau and a gift of jewel shells round my neck the most precious of the sand and I looked back @Inde 11/2005

Indescribeable replies on 9/25/2006 4:53 am: Thanks, this poem was inspired by a trip that I took to Hanalea, you know where puff the magic dragon lived. This is the most beautiful land on the planet in my opinion. I had a rare opportunity to gather the rare Niihau shells washed on the shore from the Island of Niihau which is considered a forbidden Island for visitors, only a small group of people live on the island and they collect this variety of exotic tiny shells and send them to the other parts of the islands to make these really beautiful necklaces. I was given one as a gift before I left the island which I will always treasure as a keepsake. |

Netty Lying in bed would be a truely supreme experience if only I had a coloured pencil long enough to draw on the ceiling
