Which Gospel of Christ? Satan has indeed been clever with the newer versions of the Bible to convey his message. This is why I use the Authorized King James Version. The Bible says that Gods word is not of any one persons interpretation. The Original King James Authorized version was a collaboration of over 60 people under the direction of King James. He wanted to be sure that all agreed upon a single interpretation and NOT of one interpretation from one person. These people were scholars on different parts of the bible. There were Hebrew scholars, Greek scholars, and others. There are so many bibles on the market today almost 80 different versions all purporting to show a newer better version of the Gospel message: We have White bibles, black bibles, feminist bibles, masculine bibles, homosexual bibles, santanic bibles, indian bibles, bibles, and a plethora of new age bibles all different interpretations of KJV. There are also Christian books of interpretations from different denominations having their own interpretations the catechism, the book of morman, and the JWs book of whatever, The Lost Gospel of Jesus etc. We know this is the reason for such division. Thank God we have so few translations. What I know and find is Biblia, New world translation, New chursh translation, Old church Bible, Bible for nations, Bible 2005, God's peple Bible and then New Testament and Psalms in they own translations, plus Psalms on they own book and Prophets were Haggai, Sakarja and Malachi are translated and anylized. Finish language is still so primitive I ques that there is no much change for variations.

Of course the King James version, which is the most used version.. Many languages demand many Bibles of course and maybe it can give large few into things when reading many versions. Myself I keep English New International beside my finish to have comparison with it and sometimes english is said better or describes the idea large than my own language does. Finish language is still so primitive I ques that there is no much change for variations.

Repeating my previous comments. The scholars of 1611 used by King James, while undoubatbly the best availabel to him where limited in there knowledge of Hebrew and Greek simply because all the available origonal scripts were not yet discovered and indeed, it maybe that we still have some ancient parchments to discover. Also, a simple comparision to 1611 and 1970 English dictionaries reveals just how much the meaning of words has changed. So obviously the 1611 King James Version cannot be the most accurate translation to day. As I have also commented, over the past 34 years of my growth in the Spirit since Jesus gave me this new life God has clearly shown to me for His purpose that The New International Version, copyright 1973-83 is favoured and He also blesses the Good News version in appropiate situations. Similarly, He has also shown us serveral versions He does not approve of; but I will not name these save to say they are all interpretations and transliterations, not translations. Please do not let familiarity blind you to quality.

Sheri, I quote you:- How many versions of the Bible do you have in your home and are you aware that they do not profess the True Gospel message of the Authorized KJV in their entirety? If you doubt me, then do your research and compare for yourself. As a rational loving Sister in the Kingdom of God, you should not be making the above statment so finite. It is only your opinion; not necessarily the opinion of anyone else. For example, IF yr statment were true, then I have been lying to myself and every person I have shared with. That is not true nor is it what you mean to convey; but it is what your statement quoted above states. Thank you dear and gentle Sister for considering this point.

Sheri, I have 8-10 different versions of the Bible that I use when I study. I use them all because I want to get every perspective on what the original text, in Hebrew, Greek or whatever language was used, might mean because I don't know those languages and probably never will. But before I ever open any of them I pray and ask the Lord to reveal to me what HE meant when He gave those words to the authors who wrote them. Reading the different interpretations helps me to get a better understanding. As I'm reading, going from one Bible to the next, all of a sudden one of them will jump out at me. Like God is saying "HERE IT IS!!!!!!! THIS IS WHAT I'M TRYING TO TELL YOU!!!!" Ephesians 6:13 . . .and having done all, to stand

Someone may say, after all of this, what’s the BIG DEAL? The big deal is that Satan is working today, just as he did in the Garden of Eden. In the Garden he changed God’s word with just the insertion of one little word, “In that day that you eat of it you will not surely die.” We have versions today that add more than just one word that change the meaning of God’s word and the same effect comes to those who would believe a lie. We will be condemned if we believe and practice false doctrines, even though we might do it sincerely. There are going to be those in hell who are sincerely wrong. We must be careful to use a translation that will assist us in understanding exactly what God has revealed! Again, I apologize for any misdirected accusations on this blog. I was in error. I had no right to assume someone felt a way even after they had acknowledged such in writing on a forum. Can we move forward or is this going to be a continual source of contention? I have called a Peace treaty several times. Turning it to the Lord. I do not dislike anyone, however, those taking offense perhaps need to look at the original intent of this post and understand that it spring boarded off of a Do you Speak in tongues? blog which spring boarded from a Baptism discussion stating that You must be baptised by immersion and you must speak in tongues to be saved.
