Continuing on my journey of faith - Part 4 We cry "Abba, Father" because the Spirit within us prompts that cry. Obedient living is not an option given for believers to walk. All true believers are called to a life of obedience. Jesus taught that every branch that abides in Him bears fruit John 15:1-8. We are saved unto the obedience of faith 1 Peter 1:2. Do you have a love for God, hatred for sin, humility, devotion to God's glory, mercy for the homeless, a pattern of prayer, selfless love, separation from the world, the evidence of spiritual growth and obedience? I believe these are the real evidences of faith. Thank you Lord for showing me the genuine faith that you desire of me. Thank you Lord for stopping me dead in my tracts and not being decieved by professors of faith that said I had little faith or wasn't a Christian or thought I had a teachable spirit. Thank you for getting me through the recent timeout from BC and putting a stop sign in my life. Evidence of your true protection. Your grace is sufficient. You hold my hand and guide my paths. Amen. ![]() (¯`•♥•´¯) ¤`•.♥.•´ ¤ (¯`•♥•´¯) |

Great - the only opinion that matters is that from your Lord. Good prayer Sheri! Now the character/qualities you ask about in the third paragraph - you know I couldn't say that I was all those 100% of the time. Does that mean that I am somehow deficient/unusual in my walk with Jesus? I think it shows that I am still a human on that journey of obedience and grateful that He forgives and continues to work with me until one day I am perfect. We have such an amazing God! ![]()
