This post is about joy I think all of us have heard that life is a journey. The best journey is enjoying life, of course from a biblical perspective. Enjoyment is not based on enjoyable circumstances. It is an attitude of the heart, a decision to enjoy everything because everything has a part in the overall big picture of life. I have finally realized since I was not enjoying life, I had to make a decision to find out what was wrong and rectify it. The decision demanded learning new ways of handling situations. Once I decided that it was my approach to some of the lemons in life that needed adjustment all started falling into place. So many times we think that we have failed yet, from a biblical perspective we are instructed to be joyful. So, what is being joyful from a biblical perspective. It's knowing the big picture as true. So, I plant my flowers and water, work many hours and wait for their bloom. I work daily, even extra many days to pay the bills. I encourage my and associates near by. My family is happy. Prayer is present. What more is one to be joyful for? Please share your experiences on joy in your life, I would love to hear... (¯`•♥•´¯) ¤`•.♥.•´ ¤ (¯`•♥•´¯) |

Wonderful post!!! I went through a hard life and had many trials. I was afraid to enbrace the challanges of life and one day God just poured out an overabundance of joy. Joy filled my heart and then I realized the joy of the Lord was my strength. God gave me two gifts. Joy and strength. I have down days at times but joy has been my constant companion where I have been able to enjoy my children my granddaughter and everything around me!!! God Bless u Please remember to keep our soldiers in your prayers!!! Kristy

Peace is my joy I think. Sometimes I feel such "happy" joy, as in worship, prayer, study, or just abiding in Him. And sometimes it's the underlying peace in a terrible trauma, or sad circumstance in my life. I always have the joy of the Lord. Corrie Tenboom said it best I believe..."There is no pit so deep, that His love is not deeper still". Well I'm sure there is a scripure that says it better, but I love what she said too. Thanks Meow, great topic. Blessings, Robin

What an excellent topic! For me, joy is to be content on who you are, where you are in life, and in be love with Jesus. There was a time in my life that I was in such mental anguish (which lasted many years) I felt that I would never know joy, only sorrow and grief. Then when I finally allowed Jesus to come into my heart and life, He blessed me with joy. So...for me, joy is priceless! GBY! Love you sister May God Bless You in ABUNDANCE
