Must be over the hill, but glad I'm not under it.

I write this segment because my mother bless her heart must think I am now over the hill. Here is proof. I use to get clip its in the mail from the newspapers from Dear Abbey from her mainly about relationship stuff. Now I get AARP magazines which she has ordered for me and articles like this:

Senior Citizens Are Valuable:

We are more valuable than any of the younger generations:

We have silver in our hair.

We have gold in our teeth.

We have stones in our kidneys.

We have lead in our feet and

We are loaded with natural gas!

God love her.

And she says in a recent conversation, remember those old Elvis albums, well your dad was asking about them. He thinks they may be worth allot of money. I said, of course they are still there, in a box somewhere in their home. And, did you get your AARP card in the mail yet?

Now, I know my midriff gained about 8 pounds and somewhere another 4 pounds took residence from my last year skinny body. The eye creams look more appealing to smooth out those fine lines and diminish the dark circles under the eyes and the chin seems to have lost a bit of elasticity. Oh my....Guess I am over the hill but I can be blessed I am not under it. And dad calls again asking about the Elvis albums and there where abouts and that plant that is his favorite one that is somewhere in his back yard.....
