Which do you prefer.....????? Coke or pepsi, WRONG!! Jesus or Satan Unconditional Surrender, meaning surrendering to Gods will, Gods way...not giving into Satan or His ways ...NONO!!!! 1 KINGS 20:1-4 Giving absolute power over our life to another human being would be a scary proposition. But to accept the Lord's authority over us is fitting and right. Unconditional surrender means: Yielding ourselves–including all we have and all we are–to the lordship of Christ. It is an identification with Him in which we decrease and He increases. We first experience surrender in our attitude and then live it out in obedient action. Placing no limit on what we are willing to do or become. This means we have: no restricted areas in our life where Jesus is not invited; nothing set aside for our own exclusive use; no place where we tell Him, "Hands off." We make ourselves totally available to His will–whenever, wherever, and however He chooses. Transferring ownership of our body, soul, and spirit to Christ. By doing so, we embrace as our own values the principles of the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12), the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), the hierarchy of the kingdom (Mark 9:35), suffering for Christ's sake (1 Peter 4:13), and dying to self. (Galatians 2:20) One reason we tend to hold back is fear. What will God require of us? Another stumbling block is selfishness–we like having control over our own schedule and long-range plans. A third obstacle is pride. We know what the Lord wants us to do, but can't He see how that could hurt our reputation? What keeps you from abandoning yourself to the Lord Jesus and crying, "Please take total control over my life?" I cry to the Lord and say, have me, mold me , make me, renew my mind, renew my heart, give me a refreshing of Your Holy Spirit, MY Lord, I love You and I worship you!!!!! Your will be done, Father not mine! in the name of Jesus and I thank you for answered prayer ......in Jesus Precious and Mighty name, amen!!!! May we give thanks to the Lord for His mercy grace and peace ...as we go about our day and meditate on Him ....  May we be a blessing to you O' Lord and other's... and not a burden to you or others ...

Oh boy Lor, am amenin' this .. !! So well said! For me, it was yes a prayer, but it was also a knowing that no matter how I tried, I couldnt do it .. it was only my really saying to Him .. You do it.. and as time went by He has been faithful .. kinda well you asked for it .. hehe .. and yes .. it is the greatest thing I ever asked for! hehe Oh man .. it is hard when you look around you thinking of 'what could' happen .. but I think if you stop at those times and say .. well He knows whats the best thing for you .. it will help with those times .. and oh amen sis .. psst .. I couldnt help but laugh .. cause well my son Christopher and 3 of his friends .. 11-12 yrs old stayed over last weekend .. boys slumber party .. ya know .. well they watched a movie ate 'junk' and no lie .. they had a BIG debate .. coke or pepsi!! hahaha no lie!! .. my final answer .. coke, well diet .. yea's and nay's all around! lol .. and btw .. they were split 2-2 and didn't count my vote  lil farts hehe... Thank you for this post. What keeps me from surrending all... sometimes I'm not sure. A part will be as you said pride, some would be fear of rejection and a big one for me, would be doubt that I am hearing God clearly in my life. I've learned to step out and take chances now and trust that if I didn't hear from the Lord correctly, He's capable of correcting the situation or using it or whatever. But it is still a choice - there are days when it is so much easier than others. I love your prayer and take it to heart for me too. GBY

oh man edna .. so scarey huh .. oh man YEAH! .. man I have heard from Him for a long time and I laugh so much at times at myself AFTER I see those fears so unfounded .. try to remember when you doubted before .. and He proved Himself .. He leaves those lil monuments in our lives to help us with our faith in Him in the here and now .. And I promise its a rare event that when stepping out in faith you don't hear me saying .. God bless you all, always always!!!!........ Well I was thinking about why people dont get prayers answered or why they have no peace or why they fill displaced and the reason is because we are just plain selfish at times.....seriously....lets say you have plans to read the bible today or to sit in the Lords present and ugh!! here comes a distraction..someone calls you to chat or to go shopping its nice out you changed your mind you are going to do this or that rather than what you initially planned....how many times have we said okay??...Im giving this time and setting this time for Jesus & me and Him alone..and how many times do WE not do it???....more than likely its the enemy putting a thought or placing someone or something in your mind to pull you away, amen!!!! Well I have noticed this and now I dont answer my phone and now I put the Lord first and if a thought comes in to do this or that I say NO, sorry this is the Lords time....and I have found that by doing that I have even more peace and am spending more and more time with HIM...this is a good thing a godly thing ...and by that I know I am, in the will of the Father ...once you begin to do this you desire more of it daily....so then what was hard to do than, now is habitual, praise God....Fear just as Ronald stated above, ugh!!! is one that stops the flow of the Lord working in our lives... , and also us surrending to God but doing it our own fleshly way....most the time it does not work, why???not the Lord's will nor the Lords timing....thats why we have to surrender to Him in ALL our ways , in ALl areas of our life..ya think He just wants part of you?? NO, absolutely not..when His word says take up your cross and follow Me, He absolutely means just that....is your heart there yet?? do you feel a pulling?, a tugging to surrender more of your life to Him rather then the material things of this world, tv, computers, etc.. or people???, places???.... Satan will use people places and things to distract us away from Jesus and the word...He doesnt want you or I spending anytime with Him....why because when we do we are drawn more and more to Jesus and not the ignorance of this world....and then as we are surrending to God he begins to soften us to pull us to draw us ..He begins to speak to us whether the His word prayer, Holy Spirit....people... then he begins leading us spiritually..amen and our flesh begins to die ..just what I pray for just what you pray for die to self, is to live to Christ..it becomes internally, real and externally we begin to see it the people around us begin to see it, amen!!!! I prefer Jesus..so in order for things to change in my life I have to surrender and let Him lead because when I lead..yikes!!!! no mans land..amen!!! I too like that song and have listened to it many times...it rings very true,,Ann Marie Dont ask me why I put that in here coke or pepesi I drink neither, lol..Castu & I Girl430, it helps me too....some will tell or say something to someone else, but then when it comes to taking what you said out of your own mouth and doing the things you say to others doesnt always happen, but I have been and it is making me to really think and grow because I am aware of these things I should act on them for it is true and right as it is the word of God....... Lost good to meet ya too...and you right about it not being popularity..I am not popular in my home at times because of the way I choose to live and and in this world either...and yes it is then humbling of our selves that he really begins to mold and shape us into the likeness of Him praise God!!! If we resist the devil he will have to flee..for the Word cannot lie.....blessings to ya all....

Lorriegal, you have really tapped into a subject we all need to think about, and examine ourselves. You have made a lot of wonderful points that I hope to put to work in my own life. Fear: the opposite of love is not hate, it is fear. because the Bible says that love casts out all fears. to fight something in the spirit, you need to take the opposite and fire... for example, if you satan is discouraging you, you need to go encourage other people. if you are fearful, you need to go love on some people. the Bible says you reap what you sow, and I don't believe (as most people do) that the scripture is pertaining to only money. if you sow encouragment, you will reap encouragment. if you sow love, you will reap love (love casts out all fears..) this has worked for me anyways...hope it might encourage someone else also... yes and amen Igirl when we fear we should then go thru thru with that fear..He, Jesus says,"do not be afraid for A am with thee"..."Fear not", He says,,He did not say we would not fear, amen!!!!! but Jesus is with us as we go thru.....he was with me when I had to go thru something in fear and now I am stronger because of it.....blessings to you igirl always and mightily
