"PRAY FOR ME" Guys, would you take time out to pray for me today?I am exhausted and overwhelmed as caregiver.I take care of mothers physical needs, such as meals, exercise, sleep, bathing, toileting, hairwashing, toenail cutting, her fingernails, dentures.I take care of her finances, wash her clothes, take her blood pressure everyday and try to read to her.She is blind and can barely hear with her hearing aid.I have to repete everything.I have to do it all with patience and love.I'm not complaining.I want to do it.God wants me to do it.But today I'm tired from working all night and wonder how I'm going to get enough sleep and do all that needs done.I just need someone else to lift me up . Thanks |

Oh, dear Hope! I know a little about what you are experiencing - as my grandmother has Alzheimer's disease - and I am her primary caregiver. Like yourself, I tend to most all her physical needs, and although she can see and hear rather well, her mind no longer cooperates with those senses. I have prayed for you - that the Lord would grant you an extra measure of endurance and compassion - as well as an abundant blessing for your selfless service! I struggle with the hardship factor - and I falter sometimes, becoming exasperated with the task at hand. Even the mundane routines in life can become exhausting when you are responsible for completing them for two people, instead of just yourself. Although I may understand just a little, let me encourage you with words from One who understands completely! "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God" Hebrews 4:9 "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength." Isaiah 40:29 "My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest." Exodus 33:14 "I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee." Isaiah 41:10 "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee." Psalm 55:22 "He that keepeth thee will not slumber." Psalm 121:3 "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." Isaiah 40:31 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1 "In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength." Isaiah 30:15 "Forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58 "Thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly." Matthew 6:6 Take heart, and know that your service is as a sweet offering unto the Lord! I will continue to pray for you, and for your mother. You will indeed be blessed for your servant's heart! Sincerely, Frances

Dear precious sister Hope, receive hope, faith, love and strength, reach up and receive it now...Father of Glory, life, and Strength breathe into our dear friend, oh the breath of heaven, once again Lord I pray...breathe into Hopes life, allow her to receive and breathe the very breath of your life, once again Lord, breathe also into her mother's life...once again Lord. Father I thank you for you are the giver of life, you give and you take away! You said you wouldn't put no more upon us than we can bear, bless my sister, for I understand the pressure and the weight of her care and responsibiities, I too have called out to you recently in anguish and in desperation for the very responsibilities I have for my mother whom I'm given the sacred responsibility of "caregiver"! But you are "awesome" in this place Hope and I stand in, you are "abba father" worthy of all praise, to you our lives we raise! Father you have no respect of person, just as you did for me recently "anoint" your handmaiden, with a fresh anointing, allow the fragrance of the Holy Spirit to adorn her with your grace, power and might! In her worship to you, do it God, and we give you all the glory, honor and praise, our King in heaven above and on the earth here below! We worship you Jesus, we bow at your throne, you're altogether Holy, you're altogether Worthy, we bless your name as you touch our sister Hope and her mother's life today!

Thank you Frances,Allamazed and totalpkg.I was so weak physically and emotionally I could hardly pray.I don't get like this too often because I know it takes an emotionaly strong person to be a full time caregiver. We sometimes lose our on identity and when we're caring for a loved one,we feel the emotional pain of watching them deterio- rate right before our eyes. I know Frances and totalpkg, you understand what I'm talking about. I could feel the Holy Spirit ministering to my spirit as I read your prayers. My sisters came for Bible study and they[and mom] gave me a beautiful Life Application Study Bible for my birthday.Thank you my friends.
