toyota?

I FINALLY got a comment on my original post here about convertibles for Chicago.
urban suggested a Toyota 4x4. I googled it, and they make a convertible comparable to the jeep. I don't know if they make a hard top for it? I will have to research it. I don't know how much they cost either, but I wood prefer a Toyota if I can

I had a Toyota like the one in the picture, it was a hard top but it was a 1978 model. It was very reliable but I got rid of it as it was very uncomfortable in the bush, I got rattled around in it like a dry pea in a tin can. The springs were very hard. I could have taken a leaf or two out of them but didnt bother with the hassle. The modern ones are much better but I dont think any are convertible. You'd have to settle for a sun-roof. I'd talk to a Jeep owner before I bought one just to find out the pros & cons, could save a lot of money doing that. Live axle is far superior to independent suspension in the bush. Jeep had live axle for years, dont know if they still do it though. Havent looked.

Judgement Day will be interesting.
