how does killing iraqi's protect MY freedom? I have NOTHING against veterans. when I was a there were still people around that fought in WW1 and 2, and while they really didn't protect this country, they at least went to war for worthy causes. what in god's name are we STILL doing in afganistan? we went into afganastan supposedly because they were hiding osamma. but ossama was in Pakistan. why we didn't we invade Pakistan? because we liked Pakistan and they are pretty tough. afganistan was much easier. what in Christ's name are we STILL doing in Iraq? we supposedly invaded Iraq because they had WMDs. surprise, no WMDs. why are we still there? why are American troops STILL dying in Iraq? neither of these imperial actions are just wars, nor do they have ANYTHING to do with American freedoms. American freedoms have taken a bigger hit from homeland security and the like than anything going on in the middle east. I don't have anything against veterans...but do NOT automatically think they deserve my undying respect. I think what we are doing in afganistan and Iraq is WAY wrong and that the people doing it don't deserve respect at all. they are government mules doing what they are told to do, even if it is WAY wrong. sorry. but I am NOT gonna honor that.
