CHRISTIANITY IS SIMPLE, EASY AND INTERESTING BUT REQUIRES A HUMBLE AND CONTRITE HEART

Christianity is simple, easy and interesting but requires a humble contrite heart-a heart like that of David when it comes to self-righteousness and repentance. There was a young Christian who was striving to be perfect. There was also a group of Christians who see themselves as perfect Christians -they parade themselves like Angels. This young Christian strived so hard to live sinless and holy like Angels-he wants to be like the perfect Christians. He repented of all his sins-brought all his sins under the blood of Christ but due to lack of understanding of the truth, he failed to accept the forgiveness that Christ HAD already purchased for him - the moment you genuinely repented or brought your sins under the blood of Christ, drop the guilty conscience at that spot and pick up the forgiveness that is offered to you automatically . As long as the young Christian was ignorant of this truth, he still carried along the guilty conscience, giving the enemy the chance to accuse him continually. One day, he went to the group of perfect Christians to confess all his sins hoping that would help take the guilty conscience off his shoulder. But little did he know that the group he thought were like Angels are flesh just like him and they compounded his problem-they now know his past and tried to use it against him/to control him/to pass judgment. The young Christian got frustrated and belittled to the point that even a day old baby Christians want to control him too. Finally, he came to know the truth, dropped the guilty conscience he had been carrying with him unnecessarily and accepted the forgiveness that has been there for him all along.

We humans can only see the outside and not the inside. Only God can judge perfectly cause He can see both inside and outside. On one side, we have a young Christian who had repented of his sins and made peace with his God but was simply ignorant to accept the forgiveness he was offered. On the other side, we have the so called perfect Christians standing there judging the young Christian of his past which he had already brought under the blood of Christ. No wonder the Bible says, do not judge. Now who is dirty?- Is it the young ignorant Christian or the group of perfect Christians?

This also brings to attention Christ's parable to those who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else-two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get. But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner. Jesus said, I tell you that this humble sinner, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted- Luke 18:9-14

It's biblically required of Christians to strive to grow to maturity. Matured Christians, pursue God with a humble and contrite heart, do not look down or condemn or put a stumbling block on the path of young Christians who are striving to step up to maturity, remember you were once in that baby stage. Do not be like the perfect Christians described above or like the self righteous Pharisee Christ described in Luke 18:9-14. Rather, encourage/ help/give young Christians space and time to grow

Hi Calistus

I find it very encouraging and true what you wrote.

The only ones making the Gospel of Christ complex and hard to understand are human beings.

We do make a lot of regulations and rules that have to be obeyed so we can see if a person is right with Christ.

We are to give our lives to Christ. To die and rise again in Him.
Because when we die with Him, we will rise again with Him.

We need to learn to listen to Him, and He is the only one who can guide us through our life.

He treat us different because we are individuals and not copies; therefore He treats us equal.

Our deeds doesn't save us, but our deeds are the consequence of our faith in Him.

"Sin that you do not know Me".

Getting to know Him by "socializing" with Him on a daily basis makes us understand why He tells us to follow His words and do what He told us to do.

The Gospel of Christ is simple, easy and interesting but requires a humble and contrite heart.

Blessings
