What does Jesus do for you in THIS life????? When I was fairly young and zealous christian, someone asked me this. Or I was afraid someone would ask me, I am not quite sure. What does Jesus do for you?? Apart from salvation, apart from what we get in the next life, why pick Jesus NOW?? Oh, for the peace that passes all understanding...except I do not have that, so I cannot speak to that..... Oh, for the JOY....except I dont have that either... Oh, for the abundant life....while there are many things I am grateful for, my life is not abundant. In any sense of the word. Oh, for the sound mind....except my mind IS NOT sound... All these great pat answers, but none of them were true in my life. I figured they would BECOME true in my life....but it has been 15 years, and it it has still not developed......I had to come back to myself and ask......Is Jesus real? IS he for NOW???? ANd I must say, though I feel let down in so many ways, like i have been forgotten adn passed over for so many blessings and gifts from him, that I KNOW he is still in my life working. When my car breaks down and I am JUST BARELY inside of my AAA 100 mile towing limit, I know God is involved. There are so many times, I KNOW God did something to protect me, or bless me.....to help me.... So I may not be able to attest to his joy, or abundant life, or peace, but I can attest to the fact that he is my Helper. He has helped me get stable and stay stable. what is the Hebrew name for The Lord is My helper??? To forgive yourself is to give up hope for a better past |

Hello Ms. Ptl Good to see you again. Yes Jesus does so much for us!!!!!! Recently he reminded me of humility this was revealed to me by some people here. God bless

It shouldnt be about what he can do. How would you feel if your relationships all bordered on what you can do for someone. God wants a relationship.

Tropical Man, it IS about what Jesus can do for you when you are evangelizing, which is the context I was writing in...we are to be prepared to have a reason for our hope.....what is YOUR reason?? Why would you tell a non believer to accept Christ as their Lord? What does Jesus do for you??? Exodus, you seem to holding your own against attack. Humility sits well on you  To forgive yourself is to give up hope for a better past
