JESUS WAS--ABOUT HIS FATHERS BUISNESS---WHY ARENT WE?? I rarely come in here anymore---just pop in to blog and thats about it---just so much going on right now i guess--and this place hasnt changed to much--yes--HE is gone--but ya all still talk about him like hes still here lol As i was Researching Possible churches in Vista---It grieved me that so many are just--Busy Busy Busy!! Im amazed at how many programs each church has----and i know imed thats not what im looking for!! Im seeking a group of beleivers who simply have a Passion for him---most Churches are Marthas--while very few are Marys!! I have always believed ministry ISNT important---because without a vital relationship with him--all the--ministry in the world dosent mean a thing!! Churches have become so social--like they HAVE to feed the poor--but is it the mandate from the Lord?? I have a real heart for the poor and needy---but i think churches are going about it the wrong way!! What is--being about our Fathers Business--all about?? I think it needs to be redifined--because we have truly missed the mark where that is concerned!! I know what im seeking in a body of beleivers and i also know what Im nOT looking for--the big screens--fashing lights---seeker friendly stuff that just isnt IT for me!! Breaking Bread--having everything in common--meeting each others needs when they arise---just being an extension of him!! Home groups are really my hting--a group of 10-15 poeple who you pray with--laugh with cry with--share deep burdens with--and who carry one another thru the rough times!! IN South Africa one night my home group shared the need that one of our members were really hurting and had NO food in their home--well for the next 15 days--each day a diff member of the group would bring them groceries and after the 2 weeks we committed to providing them dinner each night until they got back on their feet again!! I loved the intamacy this home group shared--it never went any farther--other then the head Pastor knew about it--because the couple were kind of embarrassed and didnt want the whole church to know so we as their home group ministered to them until they were back on their feet--and we felt like it was exaclty what the Lord would be pleased with!! I have always said---home groups is the--church of the future---and then simply meet once a month as afamily in a local High school Gymn--for a time of Praise--worship--fellowship and Potluck afterwards!! No Mortgage where the church spends Millions they dont have--no payed Pastor--etc etc etc!! And the neighborhood you meet in is your mission field!! In South Africa one night we had a lady drive by--heard our Praise and stopped her car-came up to the door--asked what it was--we told her it was a church home group--she actulaly said she was headed to one she got invited to but got lost--she came in--loved our group-got saved that night--filed with the HS and became a Precious member of our home group!! So maybe Ill simply find a Life giving home group In California!! I know the Lord will direct me to the place of his choosing--so i 2 can--be about my Fathers Business!! |

WOW! Someone like minded. From what I have seen in my area and for the most part,free food from church allows individuals to keep their cable TV and ipods and such.I really think few people are thankful. Many churches are just another source of entertainment.

I totally agree--the poor only go to church to get soemthing from the church--for the most part---I have not seen much good come from church feeding programs other then cause people to pat themselves on the back for doing this good work for Jesus!! He created us for Worship--not to be busy little bees --im not sure we will ever get it right!!
