Lonliness

Has anyone ever thought why King David would write these words ? Psalms 38:11 says : My loved ones & my Friends stand aloof from my plague, & my kinsmen stand afar off. Im thinking David knew what it felt like to be lonely... Notice his response in vs 15.. Folks if you feel alone & lonely, my only encouragement is to get closer to the ONE who created you.. Blessings to all...

One of my commetaries on that verse linked up the word 'plague' with Gal 5:4, and it makes sense. Here is that verse from The Message:

Gal 5:4 I suspect you would never intend this, but this is what happens. When you attempt to live by your own religious plans and projects, you are cut off from Christ, you fall out of grace.

Clarke offers the following footnote: My kinsmen - קרובי kerobai, my neighbors, stand afar off. I am deserted by all, and they stand off because of נגעי nigi, my plague. They considered me as suffering under a Divine judgment; and, thinking me an accursed being, they avoided me lest they should be infected by my disease.

David admitted as much in the first 10 verses, that he was under a Divine judment because of his sin.
In verse 13 he begins to show repentence, and in 21-22; he asks for forgiveness.

So it looks to me like he wrote verse 11 because he was under God's judgment. I won't say this is the final word on the matter, but it is a very likely reason for his wording.

He has several fake profiles. HehasRisen is one of them. Just hit the 'Ban' button each time you see a post that looks like what he says, or you'll just keep going through the same thing over and over.
