It won't be your daddies dope you will be smokin.

I was going to originally put this in Forgotu's Blog. It was a great blog. But I decided to put this in my own post.
I have been thinking about this for awhile now. I am very discouraged by the attitude here in America and it really bothers me when I see clips of people in Washington and Colorado celebrating that they have got this stuff legalized. And, it blows me away that people really are that hard up to smoke the garbage. It is amazing how many people out there think there are no consequences but in my view they are wrong. And, unfortunately they are too intoxicated to think it all the way through. I really believe we are going to regret this push to legalize marijuana.
Something that the pro-marijuana people don't realize is that the dope of tomorrow will not be the same as the dope of 1969. Why do I believe that? Because so far it is only been legalized in Washington and Colorado. If things go the way they appear to be going eventually the majority of the states will have legalized it. (I hope not, but I am not optimistic). Once it is widely legalized,I believe things will really start to change. There will be big money to be made from America's addiction. The big corporations that the dope smokers claim to be against will want to tap into this new gold mine and they will get their hooks into it. Oh yeah, it will be big money. Once corporations do get into it, they will push your corner pusher, attic growers and back yard growers out of the market. If they are real good they may even find a way to produce a parasite or a virus that will kill off the varieties that someone might try to grow in their backyards. Trust me the nice hippy lady and the cool pusher guy wont be able to sell their stuff. They will be undersold by the big corporations who will willingly take a loss to push the little guys out. They will even find ways to produce it at less cost reducing any loss they might take.
And, if that is not enough, they will tax the heck out of it. 20%, 30% to buy and if you do grow it, you will be taxed for it. Trust me, they will do that. The taxes alone will make Mr. and Mrs Hippie abandon their crop. You won't be able to hide it. The IRS will find your crop. If they think you are growing it they will find you out.
Now, there are parents out there that are saying,"well, tobacco kills, pot doesn't". Guess what; you are still inhaling carbon and the pot damages your respiratory system. Guess what-else; The big companies who will now control the production of your favorite drug WILL certainly do things to it to make sure you continue to buy it. If the Government tells them to reduce the THC levels they will add all of the things that are presently found in your favorite cigarettes to make sure you will still buy it.I bet that will make it even more of a killer. They won't care if it is harmful to you. You pushed to have it legalized. Hey, you wanted it, they just made sure there was a supply to your demand. You knew there were risks to it, but you ignored the risks. You even denied the risks therefore their hands are legally clean before they even start production. OK America, you want to be stoned? Well look out, with every sin you want to partake in, there WILL be consequences.
