Whats the big deal?

This week it came up twice in my life; the debate on God vs. Science.
First, I read and article where there was a debate between a creationist scientist and a secular scientist. It was evolution vs. creationism I guess. (I did not put a lot of time into reading the article). But, there was a debate regarding the subject.
Tonight on the way home there was another discussion on the topic of whether or not you could be a rationalist, creationist or both. I didn't listen to the program long. Once I go into my house I can't get the radio station anymore and I didn't want to put too much time into getting my computer booted up to listen to it so I didn't.
But, I have thought about this before and in the end I always come to the conclusion that God is the creator and that he created the universe the earth and all things. There is nothing science can really bring up that would change that. You see, if you are so into science then why can't you accept the idea of the existence of a greater being? If I were to take evolution at its face value I still would think there would be greater beings out there who are far more evolved than I. I still would think there has to be one that can cross the barriers of life and death and can tell us what we must do to be prepared.
You may say well, the Bible says the heavens and the earth were created in exactly 7 days, therefore that is the way it is. Well, I believe God is able to take billions of years and cram them into 7 days. Time is relative.

Psalms 90:1-4
¶ A Prayer of Moses the man of God.
Ps 90:1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
Ps 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Ps 90:3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye of men.
Ps 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

In science they talk about all kinds of different things relating to time. They are now even saying that there are ways to "bend" time and distance.
Well I think our God is great enough to bend time and do even more. I also believe that he is powerful enough to create advanced worlds and civilizations. Jesus said "I go to prepare a place."
God is able to create heavens and the earth and he is able to give it a history.
The Bible is not a science book. It is the Word of God. A guide book to show us what we must do in this life to prepare for the next. God is not going to tell us how He did everything. We would not be able to wrap our minds around it. And I do not feel at all threatened by any scientific discoveries because in the end I know that it was God that did it.
