My Wedding Party

One of the blessings of my life is some friends. This group is a small collection of some of them who made themselves available to be there, even flying in from SF. Others drove up from San Diego and Burbanks. How does a person ever find friends like this?

We are happy so far and also hopeful it will continue. We focus on good communication on a daily basis. The rest seems to take care of itself.

Sandy and I have been together for a while working toward this goal of marriage. The minister who officiated left out much of the traditional vows and focused only on the promise to faithfully love each other. I said to him that I liked him leaving out the obey vows. He said that he does not include that anymore, smiling. Times have changed. It was to me a beautiful exchange of a love commitment, much less legalistic and more focus on the love part.
