THE WORDS THAT SURVIVED 2000 YEARS

I love reading about Jesus, and when I do the words come to life. I can safely conclude that Jesus was a philosopher, he was a teacher, a prophet as well as a reformer.

It made me to think and I remember a recent question brought up by a brother at church. He asked us that if we were given a chance to go into the past or future in the bible, which part of the bible would fascinate us and why?

I throw the same question to you all.

I would love to listen to Jesus preaching. I see Jesus as a charismatic person who draws people with his approach of imparting the word. I can see myself totally consumed and overwhelmed by each word as he speaks with precision touching every soul sitting there, leaving everyone emotional and spirited
I see myself listening to him teaching sermon on the mount

Matthew 5 v 3: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the
kingdom of heaven.
v 4: Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be
comforted.
V 5: Blessed are meek for they shall inherit the earth
v 6: Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after
righteousness for they shall be filled.

I could go on but I can see myself being blessed immersely and to think Jesus never wroten down his own words himself.

His words were misunderstood wrongly mutilated, deformed, transformed in the years by some who did not find him to be glorious like i did, yet managed to survive 2000 years. Why because his words were powerful, very spirited and came from the heart.

I love this question! I was fascinated watching the videos about animals that defy evolution so I think I would be in awe, like a child looking on in anticipation, if I could watch God create everything.

I would be a Mary, (not Mary His mother) sitting at His feet and following Him every where He went. Worshiping Him with complete abandonment, kissing His feet and washing them with my tears. Loving Him with everything I have! And I would be there weeping with His mother at the cross. He is my Beloved!

Live like there's no tomorrow
Laugh when you feel like crying
Love like you've never been hurt

Hi hazelpride, even though I'm saved, I just want to touch the hem of his garment, imagine knowing Jesus back then. But for now I'm satisfied because our time is coming and we will know Him... we will!

Truly, there is no greater love than one sacrifice themselves for the ones they love and to witnessing such a sacrifice of love through such pain should be painful to watch but still amazing. I probably weep too much lol.

Two cents

Yes, I would love to follow him around and be left in awe with his words and to love him so much and be there even on crucification. Amazing answer.

I think it is because of Jesus that I felt so intrigued with the bible, maybe because he related to us as humans, yet under the same breath he was mighty, and glorious, a God, yet he managed to humble himself.

I truly love your answer, yes holding on his garment not only proves so much faith in God, but so much love too. Knowing that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, really comforts me.

Thanks
