Why Are We So Impatient? In the course of a day we pray for and ask for many things. We want God to give them to us now. Human nature wont allow for us to wait. You are praying for a spouse. You are praying for a job. You are praying for a . Whatever the prayer may be. You pray and you think you believe but then begin to have doubts when another week or month rolls around and you don't have an answer. Why are we so impatient? I have listed some steps which may or not help you. They tend to work for me. The first thing you want to do is state your problem. Put the problem in perspective. Will it matter for eternity? What you want to avoid her is seeking help from others that don't have your best interest in the matter. Some people call the psychic hotlines thinking they have the answers. Some go to fortune tellers. My theory will all of this is one it is not biblical and two if they could see the future why haven't any of them won the lottery, hahaha. Next, don't assume anything, make sure you have all the facts. None of us are promised tomorrow, so why worry about it. If we assume the worse case scenario then you are going to drive yourself crazy worrying about it. So just stick with the facts. Next find out what you have control over. Many times we get anxious over things that we have no control over. So deal with what you can control and don't worry about that which you have no control over. After you find out and determine what you have control over then make a list of those items or item. List everything that you can do about your situation. Those things that you cannot do, don't worry about it. People that don't take control over their situation look for other ways out of their problem or situation. Some people turn to drugs, food, high stress, just about anything but God it seems these days. Next, once you have done everything you can do about your situation see what you can do to help others in their situation. By focusing on other problems instead of your own you don't have time to worry about yours and you are also doing the will of God. Last but not least, give it to God. The bible says to cast your anxiety unto Christ. If you have the faith like the grain of a mustard seed is all the bible says you need to have. Remember many stories in the bible. God promised Abraham and Sarah a , there lack of faith caused the birth of another but not the that God had promised them. Gods time was about 25 years. God promised to deliver the people of Israel out of bondage. Their lack of faith caused the journey to be 40 years. Stories like that all throughout the bible. How strong is you faith?
