Why Tell A Lie? Why do we lie? It is almost like second nature to some of us. Think of some of the reasons you lie? Your age, your resume, your education, your marital status, whatever the case may be? Some of us do the little what is called a white lie, we tell a story so as not to hurt others feelings. The funny thing or maybe not so funny thing that I have learn about liars is that they hate to be lied to but on the other hand they have no problem lying to others. We have no problem telling a lie if it will further us in our job, in our relationships, whatever the case may be. Some of us have lied so much and so often that it becomes a part of us. We can't tell from one lie to the other anymore. We have told so many lies that we forget which lie we said to whom. I will let you in on a little secret. Lying is a sin and God hates it. Just as with everything else in your life God allows you to choose what you want to do. God will also allow you a way out but you have to choose to follow it. So the next time you are about to stretch the truth a little bit, just think first as to whether you want to glorify God or if you want to make satan happy. May the Lord bless you and keep you |
