I DO NOT BELEIVE IN DATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not beleive it is biblical--i will never date again--never lol When the Lord brings the one he has for me--he willknow and I will know--the Spirit will draw us together--not the flesh or mans ideas of how things should be!! Ive dated for 35 yrs and absolutly will not go back there---If I truly trust the Lord with every area of my life--why cant I trust him with the one he has created for me--before the world began!! So I can rest in the fact---that none shall be lacking her mate--as the word says--for the Spirit will draw them together!! Of course we will spend time courting--as i callit--and no kissing until we kiss at the alter!!!!! he wont mind--it will be worth the wait lol So daily I pray the Spirit will draw my husband to me in his perfect timing--we will knowone another--after the Spirit first--not the flesh!! |

DARN! I KNEW there was something I forgot to ask for when I sent that letter to you! SO, in the meantime, don't forget to call the airline and see when they are going to Relax their policy on allowing Beavers on airplanes, K? I don't believe in dating either. If you read some of my old posts you will see that Josh Harris's book "I kissed dating goodbye" chnaged my life forever. I have now married my beloved that the Lord brought and wrought and who I waited for. Bless His wonderful name! The body of Christ is like a patchwork quilt! All stitched together with God's love.

Hi Louisa; I read that book too. There is a lot of good material in that book, especially for the younger believers who have not yet married, but it really is very contradictory. In the sections where he says how to go about courting, he is talking about dating. He, and you may not call it that because you're in denial. Dating in itself and of itself is not a bad thing at all. It's what we do with it, and the things we add to it and call it dating. Like having pre-marital intimacy is not dating, and is not part of dating. It is fornication re-labeled as dating. It really isn't a whole lot different then all the religiousity many folks add to being a Christian. In itself, being a Christian is our persuit of Christ-likeness. But when we add in works with all kinds of rituals, and commandments Jesus didn't give us, we no longer have pure Christianity. We have contamenated our relationship with Jesus by allowing all kinds of other stuff to take presedence. We call it Christiananity, but none of it is stuff Jesus would do. We have likewise re-labeled our actions and call it Christ-likeness. I am glad you've been found by a wonderful husband and that the program is working out for you, but that same program does not fit everyone.
