New Years Eve Plans Tonight I am going to the restaurant I was fired from a few years ago - yes! THAT one!!! I asked my guy what he would like to plan for this evening and offered a few suggestions ~ renting a movie and making dinner at home (lobsters!). He said, "Let's go to Roberto's". Now I saw in the newspaper that they are having one of those fancy, dress-up, good food, all you can drink whoopla's that cost $200 a couple. I said "are you kidding?" (We've never done once of those types of New Years, considering it a terrible waste of money). He said, no, no, let's just go and have a great dinner amoung friends, not in the reception hall. So, that's the plan for tonight. I wonder if Luigi's wife will be there, and if I'll get the chance to hug her and wish her a very happy 2010. And then ask Luigi for a recommendation! ![]() ![]() Walking, and praising and trusting my Lord for the rest of my life ![]() |

Excellent suggestion! You know, every time we go there, I am well received by everyone except Luigi's wife. She's as cold as ice to me, but all the other people that have part-ownership and all the workers always greet me nicely, and often, Roberto sends over a complimentary drink to us. I think next time, I'll let Roberto know that I'm (again) unemployed and would love to come back for a shift or two. Walking, and praising and trusting my Lord for the rest of my life ![]()

We ended up going for the big bash - once we got there, Roberto invited us to join the party, and my guy broke down and paid all that $$$ to bring in the New Year. It was fun, and I'm glad we did it. But after all that, I didn't even see Luigi OR his wife! Walking, and praising and trusting my Lord for the rest of my life ![]()
