was Jesus ever angry?

although we find many church's citing the anger of Jesus..........especially when he overturned the tables with the moneychangers in the temple.............Jesus was never angry..........not even once! In fact the bible speaks quite clearly when it comes to anger.........the old testament tells us.........."don't let the sun come down on your anger".........and Jesus Himself tells us in the new testament........"make it right with your brother before you give your gift on the altar".......and He tells us "we are in danger of hell fire if we become angry with our brother[call him a fool]". Now if we interview Christians and non-believers as well .............they will tell us............"its only natural to get angry.........it is a natural emotion" There is nothing natural about getting angry..........we are to overcome anger.......the only kind of anger that is ever acceptable is "righteous anger". The typical resentment[really judgement] type of anger that 99.9% of the people exhibit is proof of a failing. We are put here on this earth to worship God and to find our purpose for existence[the will of God]............and not just for pleasure...........in order to do this we have to overcome evil with good.

Yes, that's quite right - very few of us have the ability to only ever have 'righteous anger'. And daily I know, that I need to work out my salvation - walk the walk as best I can - repent when I fail/fall, get back up and to it better next time.
Thanks for the reminder.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to inquire in His temple. Psalm 27:4

Wow!!!

I agree and disagree with you. I had always the same view on anger, as you have, till a really worked through this subject with my mentor. I always thought that I never got angry, because my dad used to have this short explosions of anger.

If you are interested, we can debate about it, another time, I have an appointment right now. Have to run.............

Welcome to the land of blogs

God bless you
