Dating at 45 Starting to date again as a middle-aged person is tough enough. We meet this person for the first time, and wow! It's a bonus when they don't look like a troll(although we've all dated people who were so nice it almost didn't matter what they looked like). Then we visit and get to know them and they are so great! Good sense of humor, pleasant personality, lots in common. And when we discuss Christianity it turns out we see eye-to-eye on all the things that matter! It seems like something worth pursuing. Everything seems so right about this! Then the person says, "I don't ever want to be in a committed relationship." Grrrrrr! |

As much as I'd love to be married to a loving brother in Christ, I am at that point in my life that I'm okay if that is not what the Lord has in mind for me. I have asked, in Jesus' name for a Godly husband and that the Lord find him for me, if that's His will. In the meantime, I am aware that trusting in the Lord's perfect timing, and his will, require patience and strength, so I pray for this daily. Most of the time I find, that it is less, finding the right person, and more, being the right person. Maybe the wait is so that the Lord has more time to mold and shape you into the woman that He has in mind. Trust in the Lord, accept His perfect wisdom in all things,...enjoy where you are right now...a loved daughter of the Lord. I hope these words are not accepted as harsh, they most certainly are not meant to be delivered that way...please accept them as they were lovingly meant...May God Bless you in all your prayers.

I hear ya for mdating at the age of 40 although being divorced since 95 and some long term relationships that end up nowhere. I understand. we ahve to pray for direction, desernment, when it comes to dating and or marriage. I pray to god for to be married, proably so much so He has me on call block, lol,,just kiddin!!! I do understand we are not in high school anymore and and to find someone and be evenly yoked is hard!!! I have hope and belief it will happen but in god's timing not mine!!, amen!!About th e schools and your church thats awesome..but yes we need to get more people to stand up for god and Jesus and prayer!!! this is Satans world but greater is He , that is me then the the one in the world!!! We all have a problem with dating after 45.Where do we go,what do we do,how do i look to others and God is this the right one?Well i had to just give it to the lord.I cannot pick the right one for me.I tried that all my life before i was born again.Now that iam a child of God i know what it takes to have a good relationship but it just seems like the right one just ain't coming around.I have a 12yr old son that i have custody of that lives with me.Some look at this as extra baggage.But it could be a blessing to the right one.I just finally said Lord if you want me to be with someone send them to my door then i will know it's from you.
