In Revelation 13:1-10, 15-18, God gives 10 clues to help us identify the beast. He gives us a long list of characteristics so that we can be absolutely certain of the beast's identity. Point 1 - Rises up out of the sea (verse 1) Point 2 - Receives its power, seat, and authority from the dragon (verse 2) Point 3 - Becomes a worldwide power (verses 3, 7) Point 4 - Is guilty of blasphemy (verses 1, 5, 6) Point 5 - Rules for 42 prophetic months (verse 5) Point 6 - Receives a deadly wound that heals (verse 3) Point 7 - Is a religious power that receives worship (verses 4, 8 ) Point 8 - Persecutes God's saints (verse 7) Point 9 - Has the mysterious number 666 (verse 18 ) Point 10- Is led by one supreme man (verse 18 ) when this link shows up you can look at that and it will tell you more... It has to do with the false religions in the earth. Babylon always has to do with false religions. It was at Babylon back in the Book of Genesis in the story of the Tower of Babel where we find the origin of all the false religions in the world. At that time, the world was all one people who had turned their back on God. By the way, they were all living under a "world dictator," Nimrod. God had to come down and confuse the languages and seperate the people. God had told Noah to fill the earth, not to stay in one mass group. Now, history is repeating itself. We see the rise of the "global community." This is Babylon all over again, and we will see the rise of another "world dictator," the Antichrist. ~ Believe His Word and trust His grace ~

Yeah, me too! Just that today those who used to teach that are considered stupid and of bad taste by the most of serious theologians...

Other: Although there have been advanced several interpretations, there is no one that knows. We can only conjecture. What we can do is to pray, watch and be prepared to face that time when it will come.

My undertanding is it;s the entire world sydtem under the power of Satan to deceieve the world and even God's elect if possible. What do you think?

I believe that Babylon is a religious system, not a political one; I believe it is a counterfeit church and I believe it is the Catholic church.
