When will Christ rapture His Church?

Is the rapture just before Jesus comes to judge the world or is it before then?
When Christ comes to judge the world.
In the middle of the great tribulation.
Before the great tribulation.
Anytime.

I say before the great tribulation as no man knows the day nor the hour, if it was midtrib, everyone would know it was at least 3 1/2 years or 7, so i say pretrib for that reason only.

Gods way is my way,...Clay

well, the concept of pretribulation has only been around for 100 years. The person that came up with that concept, Cyrus Scofield of the Scofield bible was a mess of a man. He left his wife and children to fend for themselves. Divorced her. I dont put much in him at all.

The word rapture is not in the scriptures at all. I have to wonder what Jesus meant when he said that we would have to pick up our own cross and follow after him. It has to mean we will go through our time of sorrows and tribulations just like he did.

The problem of everyone knowing is not a problem at all to God. Christ was proclaimed to be coming all throughout the Old Testament and yet, the Jewish people did not recognize this. I think it will happen as its going to happen.

blessings to you dear

Dennis

Hello Angel109

Jesus is going to be raising all the righteous people out of their graves at the same time, at His Second Coming. And there is nothing left after that, except for the wicked being slain, Satan being bound a thousand years with nobody to tempt, the Saints sitting in Judgment, and then the New Jerusalem being lowered down to this Earth which is where we are going to be living... "The meek shall inherit the earth".

1 Thess 4:
15: For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Revelation 20:
1: And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2: And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3: And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4: And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5: But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6: Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
7: And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8: And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9: And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

I used to think pre-trib but now I think post-trib. Jesus told us that "for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short". If we are not here at the end then why would it make any difference to us at that stage?

Since there are so many different ways to interpret the scriptures I think the only prudent thing is to assume that the rapture is post-trib. That way we won't be caught unawares and if it happens any sooner then "Praise the Lord"!

When He gets good and ready.

Lord, keep one hand on my shoulder and one hand over my mouth!

I was reading in the Bible tonight that we Gentiles have been given the same place in the Kingdom of God as the Jews (Ephesians 3:1-7) so why do some try to make it like Jews will be left at the and time, but not Gentiles?????

When Jesus said he didn't know, he was still on earth and had not been glorified. I see no reason to think that he doesn't know now. I totally agree with the rest of what you wrote.

The wordd "rapture" may not be in the bible, but that isnt the point. It was a word that came up to define what the bible says, "being caught up in the clouds!" too many times "Christians" get caught up in labeling, and that is sin.

Jesus will come just before the tribuation begins because we are the "salt of the world" and salt is used to preserve. If the salt is removed, preservation cant take place, and why would Jesus allow his bride to suffer?

Another aspect to this is that Jesus will come back when his Father tells him tht he is ready to be married to his bride, which is the church!

There's a lot of believers who say that there is no rapture. What do you think?

Tropical man:
I quoted MANY scriptures in what I said, I just didnt list WHERE they are located! Even Jesus did that all the time. He didnt play games with people that make excuses. He just said, "the bible says this, peroid!"

I am at a loss to know what 1 Thessalonians 4 v 16-17 is referring to if not a rapture.

Here's what the apostle Paul said: "Now brethren, CONCERNING THE COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, and our gathering together to Him, we ask you not to be soon shaken in mind, or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. LET NO ONE DECEIVE YOU by any means; for that day WILL NOT COME UNLESS the falling away comes first, AND THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is worshipped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." ( 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4)
