What's your take on the US economy?
What's your take on the US economy? Do you think it will get worse before it gets better?
We are already in a recession!
Yes, the economy is poised to go into recession.
No, the worst is over.
I don't know, the signals are still mixed.

 I believe we are in a recession already, and businesses are hurting and going down. But, I have faith that in time it will improve.

 It's hard to tell if things will get worse than what they are because people are already making adjustments and prices on some things are actually coming down. Real estate for one thing has dropped roughly 22% I also happen to know that new homes are still being built and that industry is active. Since I'm a sub contractor I can see how my business is effected and although it's not as good as it's been in the last 8 years, it's not all that bad, I only lost about 10 days this past year. Which realy amounts to a vacation anyway.

 I believe the recession is basically caused by the outragious price of the oil going up, and the value of the US dollar going down. I think they need to find a safe alternative fuel, one that also doesn't compete with our stomach's.

 No, I haven't, but I did hear that some Japanese scientist has found some seaweed that can produce oil and can be grown. I have also heard that some counries have converted thier gas tank's, and are using used cooking oil now also.
