Describe Yours

Had to laugh at Overcaffeinated's response to Michaels blog about where you live...

She said that in Houston, TX, winter is on the second Tuesday in December...

Like I used to say about South Florida - there are 4 seasons - Hot...Dang Hot...Surface of the Sun Hot...and February.

Now that we are looking forward to Summer and many of us are drowning in heat..whats YOUR winter like?

(to my friends down under...whats it like outside?)

Now that I'm getting older, I can't wait for winter here in Louisiana. The heat and humidity in Louisiana is VERY tough! Our winter is typically not very extreme -- it is mostly refreshing.

Well in Sydney today (Monday 9 June) it is officially winter... and praise God is it raining which is what it's supposed to do here in winter, but hasn't for years and years because of the drought.
Temperature is between 9/10 degrees celcius and 18 degrees celcius. I live nearer the coast, but a little further to the west it can get into the minus' overnight.

In the Snowy Mountains (southern part of NSW) the ski season officially starts this weekend, not sure if they have had any real snow yet though or if it mainly man made. It is realy beautiful down there - love the snow gums.
On really rear occasions we get some snow on the Blue Mountains (actually they are big hills) that are to the west of the city.

In Sydney though we primarily suffer from the winds that come from the south which can be really cold -
OK - all you from the northern parts of the US/Canada and the UK or Europe STOP LAUGHING... Also, anyone from NZ you too can stop laughing... BUT this is cold for us.
Enjoy your summer...
Kaye

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to inquire in His temple. Psalm 27:4
