A prayer request Hi folks...I got a bite of some type (insect, though didn't see what) on my left index finger while in Mexico; it has gotten infected, despite taking antibiotics and being drained several times. I am now having some pain and streaking up my hand and arm. I have treated several patients with community acquired MRSA recently...I am on doxycycline that is one of the drugs we often use to treat that; the other one is a sulfa based med but I am allergic to that. I work on a computer all day at work as we have an electronic medical records system and it is getting difficult to type with my left hand..or at least quite painful to do so. The next step if this does not improve is IV antibiotics...I can do that in our office but not really wanting to...I have a full schedule of patients as we are getting into cold and flu season..plus I was out on vacation for a week. I know, medical people make the worst patients! But I truly would just like this to get better...so if you would, could you say a prayer for me? He is no fool if he should choose to lose the things he cannot keep to gain what he can never lose.....Jim Elliott Deena  |

Dear Merciful Father, You know the source of this affliction. You know the reasons for Your servant's suffering. Father, I pray You restore Deena's health and ease her pain and suffering. Father, draw Deena ever closer to You during this trial. Lord, I pray for wisdom for the medical staff treating Deena, that they will quickly identify a treatment. Father, in all things, we submit to Your will. We seek these blessings in the name of Christ Jesus, AMEN!

Wow, cool to read that things have gotten better since you request for prayer! Will pray for complete healing.
