Too Cute...No Not Me......LOL One Sunday in a Midwest City, a young was "acting up" during the morning worship hour. The parents did their best to maintain some sense of order in the pew but were losing the battle. Finally, the father picked the little fellow up and walked sternly up the aisle on his way out. Just before reaching the safety of the foyer, the little one called loudly to the congregation, "Pray for me! Pray for me!" ![]() God is God, Good And Great. I have no problem with you, believing what you believe...Just don't have one with me if I don't see it your way.... Speaking Volumes Blessings in The Now TWENTYONE THINGS |

Now this strikes close to home. One of the ladies my G.F. has brought to our church has two boys 3 and 6 that are way more then a hand full for their mother. They won't sit still, they talk loud, scream, and fight with each other. Or rather they DID do these things the first time they came, and tried to start it on the second time, but got cut off at the pass. Evonne took the mother to a table in the back, and began to teach her about raising children, and I scooped up both boys, took them to the main area where we were sitting, sat them each in a chair either side of me, and explained in no uncertain terms what they will and will not do. The older one started to get defiant and demanded to know why, and I sternly told him, "because I said so!" The younger one wanted mommy, and started crying. I told him "mommy is busy, and will be back. Now be a big boy and stop crying!" And that was the end of all that. Half an hour later, the women returned to find both boys had been quiet ever since I took them. The older one was actually asleep, and the younger one was watching and listening to the speaker. The mother could not believe it. At the end of the service, we all went to a table in the back. Evonne kept the boys occupied while I explained to the mother about how young children are very simple to discipline. Their actions will always reflect the believing of the person in their charge. When either Evonne or I had them, they behaved exactly as we told them to. No fits, no back talk. Oh they would try to start, but when firmly told what was expected of them, they always submitted to us. The problem wasn't with the boys, but with the mother. She didn't know how to handle them so they acted out according to her believing. She had been told by the schools, and her former church that the boys misbehave because she is a bad mother. What a lie to tell a young woman who doesn't know better. She isn't a bad mother. She is an inexperienced mother. Yet no one would teach her how to handle her children. Until me and Evonne sat with her. In just a couple weeks, she and the boys have made amazing progress. She says the boys are changing dramatic ly in how they act. Again, it's all because she is beginning to change her mindset and believing about her boys. If she stays on the course she is now on, I believe that those two boys will grow into young Christian men of great integrity. Isaiah 66:2b; But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.
