Do You Remember or is it Just Me.... Ok this is for those of us who have been married before...Do you remember when you where dating...the person you would one day marry. How you could just look at them forever, it felt like. Just couldn't take your eyes of that face...and it just made you smile...They didn't have to do anything just sit there and let you look at them...Then You got married...and that stopped. I don't know why but at church tonight...I was looking around at all the married couples...and how nice they looked together...and I just wondered do the ever just look at each other and say wow!!! I went from there to when I was married and I just wondered when the amazement that this person is mine, he loves me... When did that deep feeling of being one stop.... As I sit there I prayed, God if you see fit to let me have that again...I want forget to look into his eyes and just feel that feeling of joy that just looking at him can give me... Am I making any sense....I just can help but think that sometimes we don't even stop to look at this person we vowed to love till death do us part...like we did before marriage... Just in a strange mood tonight......I think its called mellon collie or something, or maybe its just missing that someone to share with....ummm yep could be. Good Night All...God Bless!! Angel, yep, I know what you mean....it's like love magnets in our eyes!!! And as long as the one we love does no wrong the magnet is strong, but as our mind picture grays, the love magnets weaken!! I'm glad your so full of love right now.....but sad that you can't share it with somebody special!!!Gee....us girls, we need a good and special man, don't we??? Angel; It doesn't make sense, but then it makes perfect sense. Right now, my G.F. and I are at the place you described, "the amazement that this person is mine, and loves me...I don't know why but at church tonight...I was looking around at all the married couples...and how nice they looked together...and I just wondered do the ever just look at each other and say wow!!!" Yes, Evonne and I do, and I'm pretty sure that most of the couples in my church still does. I also have little doubt that in years to come, that Evonne and I will continue to do so. Because unlike both our prior marriages... 1, We are putting God first, even ahead of the other. 2, We started with a close friendship instead of romance right away. 3, We are keeping our relationship pure, and holy. 4, We are getting pre-marital counselling from our leadership. 5, We will follow the directives of our spiritual leadership. 6, We will obtain the blessings of our parents before marriage. 7, We frequently pray together. 8, We are participating in ministry together. 9, We are being realistic in our expectations. 10, We have learned and are applying our partner's love languages. 11, We are enjoying ourselves, and each other for who we are. 12, We have set both short and long term goals for where we want to be, and to go as a couple. Will it be perfect? No. But it is and will be wonderful. This has been over 25 years in the making, and we have all eternity. ....unless you don't want too...GBU!!! God is God, Good And Great.
