Very good points. Altho' I think that having a nickname for guys might be touchy for some....depending on the nickname you choose, ...poopsy pie, lamb chops probably won't cut it. But to a prayer partner I had when I got saved, I was Burgess, and he was Quincy.....not espceially romantic, but it did display a special bond we had....in a guy way However, my good friend now?? His name is "Nick", and to give him a NICKname would be a tad out of place. He is an ex-con who was a drug dealer and enforcer in that world. He had to be drugged while in solitary, just to keep him calm. He had fights with the police and been shot....so about the only nick name I would even think about giving him would be something like Buggsy Malone, or Shooter. lol But seriousiy, good post.
