Shadow of Grey

It cuts like a knife… this pain
Having no mercy- it claims my soul
It binds my heart with a chain
To rule my life- it’s final goal

Victory is mine to take…
…but doubts begin to engulf my mind
Tears flow and it’s all I can take
Hope it seems is so hard to find

Where is the love my heart knew…
…the joy and freedom of yesterday?
Love was alive and it grew
…but now it leaves a shadow of grey

But my Jesus outshines it all… and I know-
He hears me- He hears me when I call
He’ll see me through every step along the way
And lift me out of this shadow of grey
Lord, lift me out of this shadow of grey
God's love reaches all- growing means thinking outside the box... love one another
