Are there Carnal Christians? We all have been guilty of being fruit pickers. Taste of that fruit. Well all we need to do is go to Corinthians. There was all kinds of fronication, etc going on there. What did Paul call these people? He called them babes in Christ. He did not call them unsaved people. Its just simple. People try to twist scriptures and put forth Lord Ship salvation that requires actions. Our are our no matter their actions. Now, in the New Covenant, Jews and gentiles both have to grafted in. There is no dual Covenant for Salvation. It is clear, and Jesus spoke this to the Jews: I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father, but by me. The fruit picker attitude ignores the parables of the worker that comes late and gets the same wages. It is a sad reminder of the heart of the Prodigal sons brother that ignores the obvious love his Father has for his brother and makes it about that he was always a good performer. Where is the love? People teaching false doctrine need to be addressed. People in sexual immorality indeed should be addressed. Paul did do that. But he did not consider people that had made a confession of faith a non-believer based on their stupid actions. |
