Why do Christians have the fatality Mindset?

I often read of brothers and sisters who can not wait to get home. Home with the Father. You know what? I find that very unloving towards God and also very selfish in regards to the people he has blessed you with in life. Your family, and your friends and loved ones all around. That type of mentality is no different than wanting to committ suicide.

Why would I even go here? Well you want God so much, do you not realize he resides in each believer in the form of the Holy Spirit? How much nore personal can that get? Perhaps it is that we spend to much time seeking him in the form of others and listening to people blab out of the pulpit.I recall in the old Testament when God wanted to dwell anongst his people and they wanted a King instead. It is like that today as how gifting is made positional and we end up with Kings in the pulpits.

Our personal relationship is not found in others. It is found in interaction in the Holy Spirit who resides inside us. He is sent to comfort us and teach us all things if we let him. Letting man do that teaching is comparable to when you were in school and they passed around a secret in the class and by the time it got back, it had lost a lot in the translation.

If we did not experience acts of hatred, we would lack in the understanding of love. If we did not experience injstices, we would not fully rejoice in justice. If we did not feel the depths of sorrow, we would not truly appreciate Joy. If we did not experience stress, than Peace would not be as comforting and desirable. If we did not experience the loss of others, we would not truly appreciate our faith in eternity and realize that we do indeed need to believe.

Hey Dennis great post and like the scripture reads "ONE DAY IN GODS COURTS ARE BETTER THAN A THOUSAND ELSEWHERE" For the past 8 1/2 years I have been living in the ABUNDANCE of life but my ANTICIPATION of CHRISTS'coming is solely based on witnessing the TORMENT and PAIN of what others experience due to thier lack of knowledge.

Rom. 5:8
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us
