Should the Navy Target the Whitehouse?

Its sad. A very poor day indeed. I have great respect for the office of President. The originality of the government and what the constitution really means. By that I mean that it means what it says that it does.

The position of Commander in Chief is one that comes with great responsibility. One that very few of us will ever come close to understanding. Part of it is realizing that the men you command depend upon you to be wise and also protective of them. They are placing their lives on the line for their country. As part of the military you want to believe this man has your back.

In less than three weeks Obuma has undermined that to the highest degree. He first instructed a judge to stop the prosecution of the mastermind behind the attack on the USS Cole. The Judge rightfully told Obuma that he had no power to do that and that the powers of President did not override his powers.

So, the great and powerful(in his own mind) Obuma dropped the charges. The charges can be redone. But the point is this Commander in Chief acted disgracefully. Our Ship was attacked, the man responsible was taken in and due process that rightfully taking place and the one person who should uphold that sabotaged it. How can a military respect that and trust that? It can not.

Steve apparently YOU dont understand the court system. The Geneva convention does not include war with a non country entity. Thats what the war on terrorism is. They also do not fall under the US Constitution because they are not US Citizens. If you understood the contitution you would realize Obumma overstepped his boundaries grreatly.

Torture? This is war and Torture has saved many lives. The people in these prisons are murdering terrorists, not a common enemy alligned in a Country. You are way off base. When we went into Iraq, the prisoners there were held in retention, not in these Prisons reserved for Terrorists. You are very fortunate the previous administration did what they did. This unqualified man will be the cause of more attacks. Everything he has done so far has been bad and an embarrassment.

Steve
No I wasnt in. But my opinion is held by many great Military personel. Stooping? There is no such thing in War. It has saved lives. This present so called President is as big of a disgrace as there has ever been.

You overlook many things. Its not like they just pick and choose people off of the streets with guns in their hands. These people in these prisons are hardened terrorists. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. It is because of these places that many things are thwarted.

Its sad you have this misguided thinking. For every one that thinks like you in the military there are 1000 appalled

Well, I'm with Steve on this one, hands down!

Isaiah 42:8 " I am the Lord; that is my name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."
