New or Enlightening

The truth is that the Bible does not teach that there will be new light and advanced spiritual experiences in the latter days; it teaches the exact opposite! Nothing in Daniel or the New Testament epistles can be tortured into advocating the idea that we of the end of the Christian era shall enjoy light that was not known at its beginning.

Hello Tropix, how is u? I hope you are well, cause i can tell you are clearly in a bit of a muddle about your interpretation of things. So here I am (thank your lucky stars) to shed some light, if you'll pardon the pun
You see in John 1:5 we read ( http://bigchurch.com=50&chapter=1&verse=5&version=31&context=verse )

John 1:5 (New International Version)
5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.

Footnotes:

John 1:5 Or darkness, and the darkness has not overcome

Unquote - From what is said in this part of the Biblical book of John, we are to understand that God's light is eternal. It is always there. Whether new saints come and go is irrelevant. Biblical truths do not centre around sainthood, it centres around the key point of love, God's love and brotherly love. The light and wisdom that goes along with it, is something which is a continued state, like, the Fruits of the Spirit, when we as humans achieve the Fruits of the Spirit, it stays with us...its like reaching a different level of a game you're playing...you get more "power" or privileges...the more you live closely to God, the more His light shines in us and through us, and it is this which John speaks of. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has never overcome it. This is an eternal state of affairs. Simply put, if you place any form of light in a dark environment, the dark gives way to the light, you see, darkness has no physical form, it is an empty vacant absence of light, and when the light arrives, a concrete thing, it overpowers the darkness within milliseconds. So, in a figurative way, when God's light shines within us, and on our life's journey, we can know the light that was at the beginning and which will still be there at the end, for God's love is light.
See also Luke 11:
The Lamp of the Body
33"No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. 34Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. 36Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you.
What do you think Tropical man? Do you see what I'm saying? Did I shed light?
May u be blessed with light and love this fine day, God bless!
Dalene x
