honesty

I don't know why it is, but people seem to get these perceptions in their heads about what we should be in life. I think being honest is the best thing.

Gregg D wrote in a blog the other day about how a person can write a great and deep blog and they usually are ignored and the goofy and fun loving stuff gets a lot of attention. I think that is very true, and I think it sadly is a reflection of society in General.

In the scriptures it talks of talents and shows how important it is to not only protect them but also to make use and prosper them.

With that, comes a responsibility not only to understand what the talents are, the purpose of them in your life, and also how they can benefit others if you use them properly.

Instead we have a huge mass of believers that don't want to rock the boat and not rock others. Iron sharpens iron. If we do not exercise our mind and body we become fat and lazy. Fat and lazy is what defeated Nero. Fat and Lazy allows for Trojan Horses to be placed in front of you and you be overtaken because your guard is down.

Its happening continually in the body of Christ which is the Church. Its happening in Countries. Open your eyes.

First off, I'm a person who's been a mailing list and message board administrator for several years for two prominent genealogy websites. I know a little bit about unresponded postings.

On this one list I administer that's mostly a chat list, sometimes someone will post something very deep and profound and the poster will get upset because nobody responds to it. Some kind soul on the list responded by saying, "your post said it so well that there was nothing left to add."

The person thought about that comment for a little bit and then she responded back to the list with an apology for being so selfish that she was expecting people to comment on what she wrote. She also thought, she later wrote, that nobody LIKED what she had said and that's why she felt snubbed.

Once we cleared the air on this topic, oddly enough I wasn't the admin of this list yet but the lady complaining was, she learned that everything she wrote was very much appreciated and not always commented upon.

I've followed this advice to this day and it doesn't bother me in the least that hardly anyone ever responds to my articles. Besides, there's more important things in life to be concerned with.

Thanks as always for posting!

Rick

Rhanks for posting. It doesnt bother me other than sometimes you wonder if is like the old Marty McFly thing. Is anyone in there. I know one thing that is amiss, people do not realize what goes into the thought process and emotions of the topic.
