We are not a Christian country based on this, but we are based on God's Principles. Thomas Jefferson in all of his wisdom said that he did not think the country would last 70 years because of the hearts of people and greed. The Constitution, in 1892 was declared by the Supreme Court to not be a living organism, rather meaning just exactly what it says. President Lincoln spoke and said that there were people trying to undermine that constitution. It was also spoken by President Eisenhower as he left office. So, it has always been at risk. Supreme court Justice O'Conner, despite it plainly written that her job was to not make law on the bench, but only to see if something was based on the constitution; admittedly used foundations of other countries to determine American law. That is an example of extreme abuse of authority. She is not the only one that has done that. People think we need change, more laws. How about just enacting the ones that we had. All I want is to be protected by our military. I dont want hand outs. I want the freedom to pass or fail in life. Not a life handed to me. If a person is crippled physicdally or mentally, yes a program. Otherwise necessity is the mother of invention. |
