Why Christians Should Vote: A Sacred Duty

(Acts 6:3 KJV)
"Seek out from among you men of honest reputation
full of faith and the Holy Spirit and wisdom,
whom we may appoint over this business"

What kind of America do you want to live in?
There are two drastically different models which we will have to choose from in the Elections on November 4th :

The Democrat /Liberal Model
Ignoring the threat of Islamic terrorism, and hindering our efforts to make our country safe.
Insulting and degrading our US military, even while they are fighting to protect us.
Abortions on demand paid for by your taxes.
Higher taxes and increased frivolous government spending.
More government restrictions on your life.
Attempting to change our US Constitution to eliminate God from our society.
Looking the other way while corrupt liberal federal judges over-ride the will of the people.
Giving over of our national sovereignty to the United Nations.
Promotion of the Gay Rights agenda.
Destruction of the family through promotion of gay marriage.
Promotion of "political correctness", diversity and evolution in the public schools.
And the List goes on and on...

The Republican Model
Returning to the original intent of our U.S. Constitution, which was based on Biblical principles.
Promotion of a healthy business climate and limiting taxes.
Promotion of a healthy military and national defense.
Promotion of right-to-life issues.
Opposition to Liberal agendas including gay rights, abortions on demand and same-sex marriage..
Reducing government spending wherever possible.

Again I ask, What kind of America do you want to live in?

According to a Study done by Focus on the Family right after the Presidential election of 2000, only 1/3 of Evangelical Christians actually voted. This is appalling and tragic ! With all the problems we had with that election in Florida, do you think that if the other 2/3 of Christians showed up and voted there would have even been an issue of hanging chads and all that mess? An overwhelming vote for George W. Bush would have made the whole thing irrelevant.

Well, on November 4th, we will be right there again if all these Christians stay home and don't register to vote and vote. The democrats are strategizing to attempt to get "the unlikely voter" to cast ballots. Who are these unlikely voters? Dead people, random names from the phone book, 7-year-olds, people trying to figure out how to vote more than once in different precincts, votes bought with drugs and cigarettes and money to homeless people and felons. All this has already been documented in state after state. And if Christians stay home from the poles in massive numbers again, these illegitimate votes will matter and cancel out legitimate voters, and we could continue to live in an America that Christians know is wrong.

Now we have a new tactic from the democrats declaring that the vote is won already by Obama, so republicans should just stay home and not bother. Really? It is time to just say NO !!! to democrats and liberals, get on your knees, and beg God to have mercy on our country give us a President and Vice president and members of Congress after His Own Heart !!, that is, God-fearing conservative Republicans.

And this election season, the Democrats have been doing everything to demoralize Christians and getting them to sit out this election or vote Democratic just to punish the Republicans in office now. Dont let them get away with it !!! Get out there and vote for candidates which will give us the kind of Amerca we want to live in for years to come !!!

What should we do? Why should Christians vote, after all isn't God in control and everything will work out ok even if we don't vote and just stay home, put our feet up, and just wait around for the Rapture? You really think so?

Look around you. Did you know that the USA is missing about 47 million people that could be loving and laughing and working and worshipping the Lord and serving in the military and adding to our economy, because they were mercilessly killed in their mother's womb and never even got a chance to see the light of day? God hasn't stopped that from happening up to this date. School cannot even mention the name of Jesus Christ at school without being harrassed and silenced and repremanded by godless atheist and liberal teachers. God hasn'tt stopped that from happening either. We lost the ability to say "under God " in the pledge of Allegiance in one liberal federal court district, and almost lost it completely. God hasn't stopped that either. What is the point?

God has given citizens of the United States the freedom and the responsibility to "choose this day whom you will serve", or rather, to choose this day who will serve and represent you. We live in a society in which we do still have a choice. Why He did this is according to His own Grace and Mercy and Sovereigny. But that is not the issue. The issue is that if we dont follow the Biblical model,

we are going to end up with an ever-more godless America, over-taxed and under- represented, under the thumb of the UN having lost the freedom and liberties of the Glorious land that we now enjoy.

In this election, we Christians have a chance to truly make a difference. We need to pray for God to bless us with Christian men and women in the House and Senate who have America's long term freedoms and security at heart. Vote for Republicans and true conservatives in the legislatures to help turn our country back to Christian values.

Jesus said therefore,

It is an amazing and mysterious thing that Jesus wants to share with Christians the governing of this world. We are not to be passively sitty back and letting Satan run rough-shod over our society, installing liars and men of greed and corruption to rule over us, killing innocent babies for profit, and extracting more and more tax money from hard-working people so they can stick their beak in the profits.

Dont you think that Jesus wants us to do the best job to promote Christian values, Biblical values, as long as it is in our power to do so?
