Dumping...which is worse?

Which is worse, being dumped by someone or dumping them?

Both.

Some relationships do not develop as you wish and so rightly get ended. The 'Dumping' attitude is a poor one, showing a lack of care or consideration for the other person. As Christians we need to love one another, and surely in the ending of a relationship this is where the measure of Christian love shows through, to be clear and honest is important, but it also demands that we be caring in how we stop or change relationships.

Definitely being dumped. Usually (at least where that has happened to me) the dumper has someone else they are enamored of and so are excited about their future...for the dumpee there are feelings of rejection, and sometimes self-blame wondering why someone chose someone else over you. That is why I am so against dating multiple people at once...I am more for spending undivided time with one person, enough to get to know if there is something long term there...if there is not, then it is easier to end things, without the degree of hurt that exists where someone has been courting multiple people at once. I don't think God intended us to try people on like women try on shoes. Where I have ended things with another I try so hard to focus on their good qualities and leave them feeling positive not only about themselves but our friendship. Not always possible, but I do try. I don't want to be accountable to God for inflicting long term damage on another.

I have to agree in opinion with Deena on this one as there are no absolutes
