Church at the Beach Rocks

I love to go into the ocean by myself and play in the waves and pray. I love the solitude. I love to share back and forth with a believer. But I don't want Churchianity anymore. I don't even think I want the home church. Beach Church is perfect for me. I can sing. I can listen and I can talk to God while being in a vastness that keeps ones mind in Check as how little I really am.

I have been to a couple of beach retreats. One of the guys was playing his bagpipes late one evening. We sang along with him under a beautiful moon. We moved our morning service outside with the sunrise.

I also enjoy singing in Church on Sunday mornings. I can sing and praise God anywhere and anytime.

We are designed like God-- fully human, fully alive.

The beach is very special to me also. I can walk for many hours in the peace of waves brushing my feet, the smell of the air, the breeze and most of all the solitude to get intimate with God and feel and sense His presence. Is almost hard to put into the words for me, the special way the beach walks are for me. I love walking the beach as the sunrises, and see the beautiful morning skies God paints in purples and pinks. Then to walk at sunset is to see the sky as if it is on fire with reds, orange and yellows. God is an awesome creator and his art of sunrises and sunsets are all unique and beautiful.
Is a toss up for me whether I like the ocean the most or the mountains and fishing at a beautiful mountain lake with total solitude and the smell of pine and beauty of nature in the mountains.
Live in the dry flatlands of Texas Panhandle, but manage to escape to the Texas gulf or the Red River mountains most years. Your talking of the beach and your time spent there, makes me yearn to go to the beach soon.

Yes, I have not been to Building Church for a while now. I pray about it, but still have no peace about it, for now >> reflexive ducking due to old programming in expectation of churchian rebuke/chastening <<.

Now if there were only a beach near here in southern Ohio! The neighbors' kids do have a nice li'l sandbox...hmmm...

Guess what the name of my church is????

Go on - you'll never guess????

I go to churchatthebeach Yes that's the name and we aren't quite in the sea but are very close to it...

I used to leave near this same beach and I love being around the ocean, always have and in it and swimming and surfing. God is very much in His creation.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to inquire in His temple. Psalm 27:4
