what does it mean to:

work from your salvation as opposed to working for it?

 We no longer follow the law because we are trying to earn our salvation. We follow it because it is who we are and the way of the lord.

 had a sermon on Phil. 2:12,13 this a.m....about working out your salvation...i'm thinking that i might turn my notes into a blog shortly.

in part, he equated the 'working out' with physical working out...I don't have to work to get A body...I already have that, but I am working out to tone and strengthen that body to function optimally. so it is with working out our salvation...we are already saved, but we are 'working out' to strengthen it and hone it...

 not what I mean.....it means that we live our lives from the empowering of our salvation instead of tring to make it something ourselves which is futile If its from then its from Jesus and if its for then its us trying to earn something we can never earn
