how does it make you feel?

How does it make you feel when someone you thought was on the up and up turns out to be a crook? What goes through your mind in regards to the future and how you might look at a group, person or organization?

Dennis,
the devil try's to get the foot hold of offense,
to poisen my out look on life.
I am being taught That just because one cause's and hurt is is not the entire speces.lol.
We all see thou the past's of or lives. God can renew our eyes, if we can get out of His way.

I have had quite a few of those already and have found that 1. asking questions and making logical deductions and 2. comparing statements with the word of God has been pretty good. BUT it is disappointing never-the-less..

Never put your trust in any man...even Paul did not trust his own flesh...the nature of man is to sin...that is the natural inclination of the carnal unregenerated man so why does it surprise you?

Isaiah 42:8 " I am the Lord; that is my name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."

My favorite part is the handshake and a smile as they look in your eyes....A lot of crooks know and study body language and the right words to say...They freak me out!...GBY

‘HE will rule them with an iron scepter.’... He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.... On HIS robe and on HIS thigh HE has this name written:... KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

I just think we need to really do some research before we let our guard down. Trust in our instincts a little

Beth: It makes me very sad. It brings a great truth that people are not who they say they are; however, change is possible through the power of Jesus Christ.

I can understand how you feel about that and what transpired at your fellowship.
You just have to keep perservering as I know you are

Well the question was how does it make you feel These people do not have to be part of something you are part of. Just something you view from afar. I think we all do not like to see con artists

Debee: I have never considered myself to be cynical, but perhaps I need to re-examine
I agree with Sweethoney... I have let myself down, lied to myself etc etc in the past (hindsight is always the best view)

As always, very good input from you Huggz

Joybells: Hurt, angry, disappointed. I would then think twice about trusting that person again, but would forgive them. God says to forgive, He DOESN'T say to be stupid!

Very well put and I agree!

The heart is desperately wicked without Jesus Christ and so when people act as their sin nature dictates, it does not surprise me, sickens me yes, but I am a realist and so I accept what is....however as a realist I know that my Lord is coming soon! In this I rejoice!!!

Hi Karen. I agree.

Kim
There are some very good people that are not saved, and some very good people in Hell

No one is good enough ...sola scriptura.....if you look in the closet of their lives you would be shocked...Every one though that mother Teresa was so good and selfless...ends up her motives were to attain salvation...she never was secure in salvation and even doubted gods existence....quotes from her diary.

In more than 40 letters spanning some 66 years, the ethnic Albanian nun who devoted her life to working with the poor in the slums of Kolkata in India, writes of the "darkness," "loneliness" and "torture" she is undergoing.

"Where is my Faith - even deep down right in there is nothing, but emptiness and darkness - My God - how painful is this unknown pain - I have no Faith," she wrote in an undated letter addressed to Jesus.

"If there be God - please forgive me - When I try to raise my thoughts to Heaven - there is such convicting emptiness."

"I call, I cling, I want - and there is no One to answer - no One on Whom I can cling - no, No One. - Alone."

Luke 18:19

Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God

Rom 3:9-12 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Isaiah 42:8 " I am the Lord; that is my name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."

Imagine marrying someone like that? Hmmmm very humiliating and embarrasing. The Lord is good and faithful to those who love and trust Him. Blessings

The body of Christ is like a patchwork quilt! All stitched together with God's love.
