Why Does God Hate Divorce?

In the word it says that God hates divorce. It also says that divorce was made as a law because of the hardening of peoples hearts. Today there are many reasons people divorce. Some of them not so good in reason. Why does God hate divorce?
Because it breaks a covenant he is part of
God is very touchy about his Covenants and divorce comes with breaking a covenant
Because of what divorce does to the people that he so dearly loves.
I am not sure

do you think your relationship with God all gets down to laws and how well you perform? Do you treat your children that way?

Even though divorce is wrong in God's sight, I've seen the amazing grace of God in the lives of some believers who are divorced, and God uses them for His glory. Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.

I voted for #3. Anyone who's gone through a divorce should agree with #3. God loves His people and hates how divorce affects His sons and daughters...When is Buster coming home Dennis?

He still isnt home. I am upset with him

It is The Lord's intention for a man and woman to be permanently joined together. That would be my answer.

And divorce is not an unpardonable sin. But Jesus clearly brought the divorce standard back to Genesis when he discussed it with his followers. Does this mean everyone will follow the standard? No. But it does not change God's intention.

Just the same way it's not okay to marry more than one woman at a time, right?

Right. And that's my point. Why does the law suddenly matter when it comes to polygamy?
