exactly... experiences if they do not line up with the word are not necessarily of God. Prime example is the latest coming out of the Florida outpouring. Much lying and deception as to their "claims" ... its sad

Both in a way...the word of God is our foundation; but my life experience should be a living out of that and a reflection of His word in operation in my life. I don't think one should exclude the other.

Mary Anne for me on the first question.

On the second question, boy, that can be a tough call to make, really. When I began as a lay-preacher in the church I've been going to, the pastor said to me to preach what I live. How was I suppose to do that if my walk in the Lord had just got started. I was a new born in Christ.

That was 15 years ago. I may have something with real and genuine substance to preach on since there is some experience to weigh on. But I still have a lot to live and learn.

However, recalling on what the apostle Paul said to Timothy, an inexperienced young minister,,,
"Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, ocupy yourself to reading, to exhortation, to teaching."

,,,,, in which case brings me to make a choice, and that would be THE WORD OF GOD.

We know that the Word of God is divinely inspired and is therefore perfect for teaching. The Word of God will never fail.

Blessings!

Josh

it all has to line up within the realm of his word. Right now, the experience end of things is totally falling apart in the Florida Outpouring. The guy who lead worship there was great people said, but what went on with the lying etc from the rest of it is coming out and that is very bad.

So if one went and enjoyed the worship, then bought into the unscriptural teaching.....where are you at at that point?

Florida Outpouring exposed sadly as fraud
