Please Pray for Fred / Parkinsons

Last night I called my dear friend Fred Baer. He lives up in Acworth, Georgia. He is 65. I had him as a teacher in High School in my speech and psychology class. He was fresh out of Viet Nam and college.

Fred would go on with his wife Phylis to run the county 's home for 3 years in Morrow County, Ohio.I was a constant volunteer. Some of the best days of my life were spent with the boys and girls of the residence. His Christian Faith has always been a beacon to the people in need of hope.

He left Ohio in 1978 to start a Church in the Atlanta area that flourishes today. He is the Church Prophet. He physically built the last addition to the church five years ago.

He just found out about Parkinson's over a year ago. Its been 18 months now since he has been able to work. As the tremors get worse, his heart never changes. In all honesty, I don't know much about Parkinson's. They say it is fatal. A slow death. If this is true, you have no idea how much I would miss Fred. He is as close as any older brother could be.

Last night I just mentioned in passing our plans for the Travel Agency, and he said "Well I believe we could help you with that" I knew it was the Lord, but all of a sudden I was at a loss for words. I give God the Glory. I hope you will join me in praying for Fred.

Many people in his age that fought in Viet Nam were exposed to agent Orange. Many are having neurological problems once they hit 60.More than likely it is from the contact with Agent Orange. Please remember Fred today when you talk with the Lord.

Blessings,

Dennis

I will pray.

I haven't mentioned this yet but I have an appointment with a neurologist on August 18th to see if I have Parkinson's. I haven't got the tremors yet but my balance is all wacky, I stagger. I'd planned on posting about it afterwards.
There is no cure but it can be managed with medication. Google Michael J. Fox, he has a very imformative section about it. He has this disease and has started a foundation to raise funds for research.

Lord, keep one hand on my shoulder and one hand over my mouth!

The chemicals that so many vets have been exposed to ... my dad, whose now gone to be with Jesus over 13 years ago now ended up with motor neuron disease. He was a WWII vet in New Guinea. He asked me to attend a funeral of a war buddy of his on his behalf, because he could make to journey from Sydney to Brisbane - it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, I was greeted as if I was my dad, but the point here is nearly all the guys he was in New Guinea with have all died from various neurological conditions, not the same, and unfortunately they cannot prove that it was caused from the chemicals they were exposed to but they all believe this is the case.

There are so many neurological conditions around now, I often wonder about this toxic world that we live in!!! I was told last year that I have MS. My older sister has had it for 15 years. Fortunately I have very minimal systems and God has looked after me in this time.

Will include your friend Fred in my prayers.

Blessings.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to inquire in His temple. Psalm 27:4

Sorry to hear this for you and will also include you in my prayers too. I've got to go see my neurologist too I haven't been back for over 12 months, but I'm so much better than last year, that I simply forgot that I was supposed to go back 6 months ago... oooppps.
Blessings.
