The vision opened to appear as if upon a campus. One of those types of academic places of many buildings sprawled out upon a landscape filled with lots of grass and trees and shrubbery of various types. The type of University or even Community College where one might even enjoy the pursuit of learning as well as the learning itself (and here we thought there was no distinction between the two...!? ).

But, this day finds the campus empty...not even a Security guard or a landscape professional (surely there must be a shrub or two in need of a manicure...perhaps even a pedicure? ). A rather odd turn that: a place so large and of a public type, and no one around at all?! Well, dreams and visions are rife with such occurances I remind myself...if there is a reason for it, it will reveal itself in due time! And if not...well, we shall see.

The sky overhead was filled with black and midnight blue clouds of the sort that usually warrant a Severe Storm Warning from the National Weather Service...However, it doesn't take long to realize that there is no thunder or lightning that is almost always associated with such angry skies. In fact there is no sound whatsoever...no birds in the trees, no sounds of car motors in the distance...I can't even hear my feet as I stroll through the grass and shuffle along the concrete sidewalks?!

Maybe it is that the audio is not the important thing about this vision...maybe it is ommitted so that I might direct my attention to more pressing and pertinant details? Or maybe it is simply that my sleeping self has buried my head so far into the pillows that I cannot hear anything?! Well, I think to myself...we should hear something once the rain begins to fall.

And somewhere about that time; as the rain reached my line of sight it seemed to freeze in mid air...or that is to say, it did NOT turn to ice...it did not "Freeze" per se... it simply stopped moving and became suspended in the air...kind of like the last bullets fired at the character Neo at the end of the first Matrix movie.

I could bring my eye up close to a drop and study it...and see what the world on the other side of that drop looked like viewed "through" that droplet...a sort of perspective if you will. Seeing though a glass darkly even...maybe...probably not...but those sorts of comparisons usually mean more to me than most folks anyway...and I liked the thought of it!

I reached out gently to touch one; expecting that rather cold or cool water feeling that rain has when it has fallen from the upper atmosphere to the warmer climate of earth. But, what I felt was warm...not hot mind you...but certainly of a more ambient nature than rain. In fact it wasn't even water at all, but ...oil.

Not dark like crude oil, or 3 in one oil and certainly not clear like baby oil either. But possessing that rather golden color one usually associates with a name like Wesson. As I rubbed the substance between my fingers I began to wonder and, lifting my finger tips near my nose, I inhaled deeply.

Yep. No Doubt about it...it was Olive oil! Now how do you suppose rain clouds could rain olive oil?! And as I stood there trying to postulate the variables...the was huge crack of thunder...no I mean it was HUGE...nope, it was even more HUGE than that...yeah about like that. A crack of thunder so loud and so deep that you could see it reverberate through droplets of suspended oil.

And with that the rain of oil crashed to the ground...and it continued to pour for what seemed a long time.

Almost unconsciously and perhaps more accurately, without conscious motive I began to lift my hands upward in worship...
