Pt. 7 (We Shall See The King) Again, back to the ceiling/sky...There must have been an entrance closer to the top where those who flew could enter. They circled and soared throughout the chamber, all the while chanting, "Holy, Holy, Holy". After watching them for awhile I noticed some would fly out of view and others would enter through whatever gate was at the top of this place. Now, please keep in mind...I mean I'm not brightest bulb in the pack, but it HAD begun to dawn on me exactly what this place was...I mean, just so we're clear on that! However, I had not yet seen the things one would expect to see here...for instance where is the glass floo.... And with that thought, the mist that had been clinging to the ground parted like a curtain...and there, like a mirror to another world was a window into Paradise! Well, I say a mirror to another world, but somehow I sensed that the way Paradise appeared was the way our world should have been...was intended to be...how it used to be before...corruption. The colors seemed alive! Almost the way old movies like "The 10 Commandments" or "The Wizard of Oz" looked...vivid, moving, breathing colors...Walt Disney himself would have been awed by the way it looked! The water was blue and translucent...even from a distance you could see the fish swimming, pebbles rolling along the bottom; being pulled along in the current. Fields of what appeared to be wheat or some other grain, looked like the long blond hair of a beautiful woman; folding and rolling in the breeze. The green of the grass and the leaves of the trees looked like it had been painted on...surreal even...like a velvet painting or... A GAF viewmaster! This was a popular toy when I was a ...it looked like a funky red pair of binoculars that you placed a circular slideshow in and when you looked throught it whatever you saw was in 3D! Thats what Paradise looked like! But, if this was the Throne Room of God, where was the Throne. Again, immediately following that thought...the mist in the distance appeared to evaporate, and what looked like at least 5 miles away was...yep, the Throne itself! Of course to its right and only slightly smaller was the Throne of Chirst. And to His right were 12 chairs, and to the left of God's Throne were 12 chairs...and though I couldn't currently make out whether anyone occupied the first 2 seats...all 24 elders were seated and waiting. You could feel it in the air something was about to happen! I looked down the line of the 12 chairs to the right of Jesus' Throne...and the names popped into my head like I had known these people personally; like we had all grown up together in the same neighborhood. There was John and Thomas, James, Andrew, Thad, Matthias, Simon, Jim, Matthew, Bart, Philip...dressed as one would imagine; white robes sitting much like people of diverse personalities sit today. John sat upon the edge of his seat, like he were about to get up and run some forgotten errand or that he had left the iron on in his house. James sat slightly hunched in his chair, very comfortable but not so much as to appear arrogant or disinterested. Philip sat or rather leaned against his chair, his right arm atop the rest and his feet crossed at the bottom...well you get the idea...they all acted as if they belonged there! As a matter-of-fact, they all did...well everyone but Me Yep. Hey, This is the roll call for the Heavenly Hall of Fame people! All the big names ladies and gentlemen; one and all...and then there's ol' kel from Calhoun! Why am I here...like I got something to offer to this group?! Back behind me coming through the very same entrance I came through Isaiah, Moses, David...on and on they came Jacob, Isaac and Abraham...Elisha, Noah, Daniel, and on and on! How did I know them? I haven't a clue...it's not like they pass out name tags at the door (HI I'm __name here_____ )...you just see them and you know who they are!? But thats not even the strangest part (at least to me)...as some of these individuals made their way near, they gestured, waved and called me by name! Hi Kel! Hi Sam-uel (I wanted to sound cool...but then thought better of it and went formal...Samuel laughed as if he knew) Kel! Glad you could make it.I wouldn't miss it for the world Zeke! Wow, that sounded prophetic...to say the least! About that time, an individual came up to me smiling, and placed his hand upon my shoulder, his hair was dark and curly and he was...well...he looked like a model from a bowflex commercial. He then opened his mouth and spoke: Kel! I am so glad to meet you! Before you leave, I would like to speak with you if you have time of course. And then he laughed like someone had just told a hilarious joke, and it took me second to realize that whole time-thingy the angel had discussed earlier! Uhhhh yessir D-D- Kin-Dav...great, I'm starstruck and stuttering...Fortunately for me he bailed me out... David is fine...just David...or Dave...we'll talk, OK?!? He said as he turned to go somewhere else in this place. I wondered if there was assigned seating...?! "Hey, wait a second" I said to no one in particular..."where is Peter" I realized I hadn't seen Peter with the other Apostle's. My eyes began to scan; peering back and forth into the rapidly filling arena. There... just to the end of the 12 chairs, talking with Mary and Lazarus and another fellow who had his back to me was Peter. And even from that distance, he was everything I thought he would be, loud and animated, gesturing with his hands, but also laughing easily and hugging everyone who came within his reach...not like we do here on earth as if we're performing a courtesy to the person we embrace (y'know...the "good to see ya...not if I see ya first" hug)but a purposeful embrace; eyes locking and a "something passed between us" type of hug. As I stood there watching Peter, the man with his back to me turned; in a slow, Sam Pekinpah type of way...and... Have you ever just been so shocked that your breath left your body? I got hit by a spinning backkick in a Martial Arts tournament once...caught me right in the jaw. My knees just gave out, before my mind ever registered that I had been hit! My breath left my body and I began to hyper ventilate before my body hit the floor...I couldn't speak and I couldn't breathe; the only thing I could hear was my pulse pounding in my head at what felt like 120 decibels! all the while a gazillion flashbulbs went off in front of my eyes! This was like that, minus the flashbulbs, but the added symptom of uncontrolled sobbing. My lungs ached as they tried to draw in breath..."Oh...oh...oh..." It was Him. Jesu Christo, Yeshua Ha Massiach, The Christ, The Alpha and Omega, King of Kings and Lord of Lords!!! And it seemed even from that distance He had sensed my being there and turned to look straight at me!? And He was smiling!?!?!? The angel said, "of course He is...He sent for you!?" You know I was quickly growing tired of the smug delivery of Heavenly Host!? But even then, my mind was trying to keep up...fathom, reach and grasp where I was, why I was there, and what I had seen and been witness to...?! The angel interrupted again: "Dude...He's calling you over." I looked up and sure enough, there was Jesus motioning for me to come over to where He was...like we had seats together at a ballgame or something. I thought I was going to pass out, or puke...or both...the angel interrupted once again "Uhhhh...don't get sick...you made it...you ate it!?" As I started to make my way over to Jesus...the shofar sounded, and to my right a light as bright as all the light in the universe sat down upon the Throne! I couldnt even look at it straight on! No sensation of heat...just pure, white, light! With that Jesus placed His hand on my shoulder and embraced me and laughing, looked me in the eye and said... "C'mon, He wants to meet you!"
