DEVIANT BEHAVIOUR...

I had a conversation with a Christian man the other day that said DEVIANT BEHAVIOR was a persons choice and that they deserve to be in the situations they are in. The only thing that went through my head was "This ARROGANT JACK#$@ UGH!

Rom. 5:8
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us

why are you mad that he said that? We do have choice. Thank Goodness we do not always get what we deserve by those choices. The Holy Spirit resides in us as well as moral law written on our hearts. We have the built in alarm system. Would you rather him say that "satan" made them do it? To me that is far worse.

Priscilla-

I do not at all know the life circumstances you are in, but God is all powerful and always present and faithful to those who are His.
I think the following passage I found is very powerful and very true.
We are in Spiritual Warfare on earth. Jesus Christ is the victor, so we can have Victory in Jesus-Praise God. His Blood on the Cross, then he rose again and took the keys of Hell. He reigns victorious.
I pray that the Mighty Holy Spirit will indwell in your heart for your joy today.

The longer you live in rebellion against God, the harder it is to go back. The longer one lives in rebellion, the more drastic the measures that God uses to get our attention and to turn us back to Him. God is relentless in His pursuit of the rebellious. God just doesn't sit there and say, "It's too bad he has such an attitude toward me. I can't do anything about it." NO, God in His love relentlessly pursues those He loves. Finally, ready does not always equal right. As children of God, we CANNOTuse right circumstances as the only critieria to justify our choices. In our rebellion, we can always find a way to justify what is wrong. In fact, Satan often encouragesour rebellion by lining up circumstances to ease our way down the road to rebellion.
THE ONLY SOLUTION TO REBELLION IS CONFESSION AND TOTAL OBEDIENCE.

"Trust Him when dark days assail thee;
Trust Him when thy faith is small;
Trust Him, when to simply trust Him
Seems the hardest thing of all."

That was a very ignorant self righteous thing to say....no we HAVE no choice...ALL ARE SINNERS BY NATURE! EXCEPT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD THERE GO WE! JESUS SAID SINNERS GET INTO HEAVEN BEFORE THE RIGHTEOUS...THOSE RIGHT IN THEIR OWN EYES!

Isaiah 42:8 " I am the Lord; that is my name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."
