Don't let him get to you.

As we start to draw closer to God, as we start to follow His guidance and live according to His will, Satan will start having a hissy fit! He is the Father of Lies, the Accuser of the Brethren.

Ephesians 6:12 - For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

He is going to start to hit you with everything in his arsenal and his biggest assault is your past. He will start to whisper in your ear things like,..."what are you thinking?"...."You can't do that"...."You aren't good enough"...."remember when you did this or said that"...."God can't use you". He is going to start to remind you of everything you once said, thought and did. How your life was before and how you are still that person. But that's not true. Christ has paid the price for your sins. Satan was defeated!

2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Don't let Satan get away with it. He wants you to go back to that place. He doesn't want you to fulfill the will of God. There is that old saying that if you "give then an inch they will take a foot". Satan is the same way.

Ephesians 4:27 - and do not give the devil a foothold.

Don't let him even start with you. As soon as he begins that whispering in your ear, as soon as he puts that reminder of the past tell him to take a hike! You have power in the Name of Jesus. Tell him to go.

James 4: 7 - Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Our sins are forgiven and forgotten. We don't need to go there again. His Word says.....

Psalms 103:12 - as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Hebrews 10:17 - Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."

There is this wonderful song that I know most of you have heard, "East to West" by Casting Crowns. But do you really realize how far the east is from the west. If you take a globe and start going north at some point you will end up going south. Likewise, if you start off going south, at some point you will end up going north. However, when you start going east, you will continue going east, NEVER going west and when you go west you will continue to go west, NEVER going east!!!!!!! Just think about that...

East to West
- Casting Crowns

Here I am, Lord, and I'm drowning in your sea of forgetfulness
The chains of yesterday surround me
I yearn for peace and rest
I don't want to end up where You found me
And it echoes in my mind, keeps me awake tonight
I know You've cast my sin as far as the east is from the west
And I stand before You now as though I've never sinned
But today I feel like I'm just one mistake away from You leaving me this way

Jesus, can You show me just how far the east is from the west
'cause I can't bear to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'cause You know just how far the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other

I start the day, the war begins, endless reminding of my sin
Time and time again Your truth is drowned out by the storm I'm in
Today I feel like I'm just one mistake away from You leaving me this way

I know You've washed me white, turned my darkness into light
I need Your peace to get me through, to get me through this night
I can't live by what I feel, but by the truth Your word reveals
I'm not holding on to You, but You're holding on to me
You're holding on to me

Jesus, You know just how far the east is from the west
I don't have to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'cause You know just how far the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other
One scarred hand to the other
From one scarred hand to the other

We have the victory my dear brothers and sisters! Praise God!! Satan is under our feet! Remind him of that every time he begins to whisper in your ear!

Blessings!

God's blessings always,

The enemy has been having a field day with me, Karen, reminding me of all the things I've fought so hard to break away from. This song has been one of the many I have been listening to, and just hugging Jesus, coz I know that He is the truth. I wont allow satan and his lies to destroy me. He has managed to destroy some things that are precious to me, but he wont be the winner of my soul

This song is a great reminder that it doesn't matter where we have been in our life, the Lord is always there for us. He stands with open arms to hold us, comfort us and fight for us. I always feel, when Satan is fighting his hardest, there must be a wonderful blessing right around the corner the he doesn't want me to have. Hang tough, Sis! We know who speaks the truth, Christ. He is the beginning and the end! I'll be standing in the gap for you, my friend! Blessings! Luv ya!

Karen, I have mentioned this before and it's so frustrating. As soon as I find peace, I am assaulted. And the deeper the trial I have found peace from the deeper the turbulance and it's getting quite annoying from that snake of a devil. I am really going to punch him if he keeps it up. Go away, get lost, not playing with you!!!

My GOD is stronger and I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!

I love that Sister Act Song - "Nothing you can say will take me away from MY GOD!! WHOA, WHOA!!! There is not a man to date that can take me away from MY GOD!!"

* Sin is sin. Careful what comes across your lips & out your finger tips!!!
* We are all the Body of Christ. Let's treat each other as such, with the same respect we give to HIM!!
* Relationship advice: DO NOT make someone a PRIORITY, when they ONLY make you an OPTION!!
* A woman's heart should be so lost in God, that a man has to seek HIM in order to find her!!

Hey Ginny, I know what you mean, girl! You just get through on gigantic trial, make it through sometimes feeling by the skin of your teeth and then comes another one bigger than the last. I noticed how much Satan tries to get to me through my daughter. I just have to plead the Blood of Christ over her and tell Satan to get out!!!! Our God is sooooooo much stronger, Ginny! He has already beat Satan, the battle has already been won. So not matter how hard things get, we can always remember, WE HAVE THE VICTORY!

I like the songs from that movie too! Isn't it cool how the just "fit"! Blessings and even more blessings to you, Sis!

I always loved this hymn going up! It always reminds me that no matter what, no matter what happens in my life, no matter how hard Satan tries to get me down, I HAVE THE VICTORY!!!!!

Victory In Jesus

I heard an old, old story,
How a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning,
Of His precious blood's atoning,
Then I repented of my sins
And won the victory.

Chorus
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about His healing,
Of His cleansing pow'r revealing.
How He made the lame to walk again
And caused the blind to see;
And then I cried, "Dear Jesus,
Come and heal my broken spirit,"
And somehow Jesus came and bro't
To me the victory.

Chorus
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory.
And I heard about the streets of gold
Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing,
And the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I'll sing up there
The song of victory.

Chorus
O victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood.

God's blessings always,
Karen
